It hasn't been a wide price drop. Puetz did it and WWG did it for like 2 hours before pulling it. No idea why the random price drops all the sudden. I HIGHLY doubt Nike ever drops any of that stuff to Puetz levels though.

I spoke to Nike and they said they didn't know anything about price drops, or when they were coming. Said that in the past price drops have happened around 8/15, but they were unaware of anything for this year.

I just got 2 Pro models from WWG with D+'s. I had them in my cart, forgot, read this thread about how they took the deal down, and then was able to check out :).

The direct link on WWG to the VFP still seems to be working. It doesn't show in in searches though and the pic doesn't seem to load.

FWIW, Golf Galaxy told me this morning they would price match. Not sure if that stands now though since the links are dead.

I called GS and they would not budge on price matching whatsoever

For anybody who maybe is on the east coast and wants your gear a little faster, rockbottomgolf will match price on the Puetz deal, but you gotta email them the Puetz link BEFORE you order it (as I recently ordered a VF from them and tried to see if they'd give me the difference back). They said no, but rockbottom is an awesome site if you've never heard of it or used it. And obviously they'll ship anywhere for those not on the east coast.

The Vapor Flex 440 and regular Vapor Fly are back up on WWG, they also have the hybrid with Diamana S+ 80 for $90. The shaft is worth that.

Interesting, the trade-in value at Global Golf and PGA Value Guide dropped to $50 for the VFP today. Kinda crazy since Vapor Pro is still $70.

 

Wonder if that's a mistake or another sign these were a big flop.
