i’m staying far away from anyone bare on the golf course. 🙂

well, after on-course testing, i have confirmed my product specs that i’m not certified for use at 110°.

add in a very real air pollution annunciator light, and it was quite hellish.

645 heat related deaths in the county in 2023. a lot of older people on fixed income who can’t afford $300-400 per month electricity cost to run ac. cool in the evenings now, but soon the lows will be still be high 90’s.

az is a strange place. thousands of people living in mobile homes in the middle of the desert with no water or electricity. trucks deliver water. some indian reservations have never had electricity.

but, haven’t touched a cigarette!

I've heard Montana is nice. 😁

Just finished re-gripping my whole set with Star sidewinder grips. Gonna see how I get along with no glove. Very nice grips for the money.

i'm sure it's a lovely place now.

I think it was last month the average home price in Bozeman is higher than Seattle.

No hot springs for you?😜  Luckily I’m pretty blind without my glasses, so I didn’t mind so much.  It sure made the day drag on, but it was nice after cold winter golf.  Makes Westerners squeamish but as far as I know there’s nothing suggestive about it.

If you guys are watching the bmw tournament at all. The Carolina country club course is the one used around here for a lot of usga qualifiers and state ams etc.  played it one year tipped out after 3 days of hard rain , for  the usga mid am qualifier. I  shot 75 with absolutely no putts made.  I think 71 and ties advanced. That day had a guy shoot 67 as medalist.

Yes it is a great course. I played it a couple of times when I lived in the upstate

Yesterday was a pretty good day golf wise. We had some storms early so we had about an hour rain delay no biggie. Our field did drop from like 42 players to 22. I played well really a good ball striking day. My group started on the back. Our 14th is a Par5 and I love that hole. OB left water right. Normally I go right at this big Pine tree on the left in the fairway and cut it back over. LOL I hit my line and did a nasty hook. Not one of my infamous left laterals but nasty enough went OB took a double. One of my partners has played a lot of golf with me the last couple of years and was wide mouth astonished. He stated he did not know a hook was in my bag. My transplant buddy from the Buckeye was on the phone last night and I told him about it. He was like I have known you 3 years and have never seen you hook a ball. Well ever cloud has a silver lining. In my case it means a timing adjustment because I am swinging hard and through the ball again. I think that 15 LBS I lost in the last month has something to do with it, Basically I am swinging good and hard but not enough to hurt myself. Iron play was great. I did manage 3 birdies on our bad greens. Had a couple of up and downs that normally would have been up and downs on decent greens. Ended up getting 2 out of 3 birdies that lived on the birdie pool and netted $75. Our team won so that was $50 each so I ended up with $125 for the day. I had something happen on 18. I missed a 6 foot birdie putt and was pissed. I slammed Scotty down on the cart path and knocked the lead tape loose on the bottom. I said screw it and pulled what was left off. I did not check last night but I think I may have bent it some maybe flatter. I rolled the ball good on the front despite the bad greens. I did bring it into the shop yesterday afternoon and took the torch to the bottom to get the residue and epoxy off. Yeah I had so much lead tape on that I had it on with epoxy. Cleaned it up decent but the sole on that old thing has always been just as I found it rougher than a night in the county jail.

LOL came home and after doing the short shop thing went in and took a shower. Settled in the cool to watch the Memorial. Got incensed when Frank and Rich described JT's putter as a "blade". I screamed that is an ANSER STYLE NOT A BLADE!!!!! Cheese Whiz those 2 have been around golf long enough to know the difference. After that tirade I went to sleep in my chair. My wife made me go to bed and hook up my CPAT. Just got up. Going back in a few because I have the small money game tomorrow. Saturday we have the informal Hickory League at the little Par3 and my wife will play along with her conventional stuff.

Good stuff man really glad to hear about the weight loss and how you are striking the ball!

On the old Cameron are you going to clean it up / restore or do you like your putter to look used? I had a couple at one point that I wanted to try an amateur restore, then I realized they were too rough and I’d lose too much weight from all the grinding they’d have needed. I still have an OLD BG Fat Lady Swings that I want to clean up this coming winter as an experiment. Bought that putter brand new in (I think) 1991.

Sounds like you did the Lee Trevino method of getting the club flat enough. 😁
