Good answer--- I always knew you had redneck lurking somewhere------ Him being a Richard Noggin with me would have lasted about 3 seconds I can tell you---- You know thinking of it I have never went back to anywhere I have ever lived once I moved

Last night was the staff Christmas party for the golf course. It became a bit of a celebration for my manager as it was her 60th birthday as well, so I found myself racing about the room getting signatures for a card from her team along with a gift card from a local salon. Several others had the same idea and many of her crew came bearing gifts. I didn't really get to talk to her, but I could tell that she enjoyed the evening. Lots of pictures were up on FB this morning!

This year, the party was hosted at a steakhouse in a nearby town that was only about 25 minutes from our home. We were the first to arrive as I overestimated the drive time to get there. Prime rib roast was the order of the day and it was delicious! WE sat with a couple of the other starters and a fellow and his wife from the turf crew. DW and "Brenda 2" had an instant connection as both sing in church choirs so they had an animated discussion about choirs and church business and the like.

I didn't really get to visit with anyone at the other tables beyond collecting the signatures, but I did have quite the discussion with Aldo who is talking about moving to Victoria to operate a construction business with his son building pre-fab homes in Sooke. He said that he was going to Mexico for 3 weeks to celebrate Christmas and then they would be heading west in January to suss out the opportunities more fully.

So now it's definitely a wrap for the 2019 golf season. One of the longtime mechanics announced his retirement, so those will be big shoes to fill as he was there for 17 years. With Otto gone, other than the clubhouse manager Brenda, I am now the second longest serving staff member joining in 2011. She started a year before me if I have my facts straight.

They should have things buttoned up by Monday or Tuesday depending upon what sort of weather we get tomorrow. Currently calling for freezing rain, but we could get a combination of stuff.

Thanks for the info on the drafts Rad

Sco.that looks like you had a good crew ! Going to look really nice !

Rad,most of the folks who watch golf are golfers. Most of them have experienced the 95* and above

days and fully understand that even tho some will say todays pants material is cooler than wearing shorts,

we would mostly disagree.

They look fine, and it seems not to have any damaging aspects to the game ! The rulers of tradition need to enter

into this century and let the "pants only" rules go the same way the "coats and ties" did !

Good work being done Sco, one question though, how are you feeling about the lack of space compared to the farm. I know when we moved from our 5acre rural block to a very small town block we were in shock for a while, took us ages to get used to being cramped. On our five acres we had really good tree cover that allowed us to walk around and see nothing but trees, no traffic noise as neighbours did not exist. Our move took us to close neighbours and over 40,000 cars a day past our back door, that’s why we now live in paradise, no traffic, neighbours far enough away and plenty of trees and wild life.???????

Also no nosy people walking past telling us they don’t like what we did with their house.?

The downsizing of space hasn't bothered me yet. It's just a matter of perspective as at the farm the actual living space really wasn't much different from what we have available here. It is looking a lot more open now though so that might change how I feel about proximity, but I don't really see that as being an issue in the winter because folks aren't outside so much.

Dec 1st officially Summer, been extremely hot until now and thankfully we are in the middle of a good two hour rain storm. The grass around the house is brown and desperately needs the rain.??

Tried several times today and the quote button does not work. Has anyone also noted the first word in a new paragraph does not automatically have a capital letter, many small but significant things going astray.?

Christmas decorations are severely limited this year as the new kitten thinks everything in the house is put there for him to climb, training has commenced and hopefully by next year he will be well aware of his boundaries.?☝️

Just figured out how to delete quoted text box. Right click on the box and choose select all then hit the backspace button and voila, the quote box and contents has been deleted!

If I'm looking to only quote a portion of the text I will highlight the portion of text I want to quote and copy and paste it in the reply box. Then I click on the paragraph symbol and click on quote italics and the indent appears. Enter twice to get back to basic text for your reply.

No right click on an iPad, that’s why I would like a delete button, typed this twice as I made a mistake and the back space button took over once again.

I guess I have a pea-sized brain as well. My cousins had the electric football game with the red team and the yellow team. I too remember playing it for hours in their basement. I don't think I ever won a game, but it was fun trying!

Yes, a very exciting game! Mac Jones threw 2 pick sixes, LMAO. Funny how Gus demanded

1 second be put back on the clock and the Tigers then Kicked what ended up being the

game winning field goal. Nick went ballistic over that one. Then, of course, the Tide gets

a chance to kick one to tie the game and the ball hooks and hits the upright and the

Tigers hang on 48-45.

I don't know what the over/under was at game time but it was looking like they were

going over 100 and ended up at 93..... and the game essentially meant nothing since LSU

had already clinched the SEC west and the Tide were not gonna get picked for the

playoffs without Tua, period.

OK, let's see if a step-by-step helps. The first thing I do is highlight the portion of a post I want to reply to and copy the section and then paste into the comment dialogue box below.

"@ Sco: thank you ! That delete the post idea worked....now, the rest of your quote will tested after the 3 weeks needed for me to interpret it !"

Once you have done this step you will notice a paragraph symbol in the left margin of the comment box. Left click on the paragraph symbol and then of left click on the quotation symbol " in the pop up menu

@ Sco: thank you ! That delete the post idea worked....now, the rest of your quote will tested after the 3 weeks needed for me to interpret it !You end up with an indented and lightened section of text that you want to quote as above. You will need to hit enter twice in order to return to normal non-indented text in order to type your response and not have it as part of the quote. Try it for practice. You will see that it isn't that difficult to do.

Had the same happen to me but when I tried to get it to do it again it would not cooperate. Thought at the time it was me having a seniors moment. Had posts disappear several times to appear again in a different place. Could not see any reason to report it as this ends up in a long drawn out conversation That go no where.
