save the brand? its for sale and doing just fine, much of the fat has been trimmed a couple of years ago, product is back to core products.

 

Titleist was sold, did they need saving too? the koreans bought them, sales are fine. Did anyone notice anything different this year, last year or the year before that?

 

Cobra will be for sale next January, The CEO more or less mentioned this when discussing Puma numbers.

I don't think the comparison is totally similar, and I don't really feel like debating TaylorMade's financial situation since it wasn't the point of my post - if you say they are in a good place despite no buyers stepping forward yet, I'll defer to you. I just don't see him going to TaylorMade. He's a traditionalist in terms of gear, and that isn't what TM is about in my view.

PXG would have to design something completely new for tiger. I dont see that being an option right now.

 

Titleist MB would be the closet thing to what he has now. But they will not pay. Doesn't make sense for them too. Although tech speaking its probably his best option. I think Rory will go back unless pride gets in his way. Instead of getting money they should go back to winning. Money follows then.

He can certainly go wherever he wants. Nike is going to pay him the bulk of the money anyway, so a club manufacturer won't have to pay a crazy amount. He isn't going to Callaway or Taylor Made and I don't see it with Ping. I'd guess either Titleist or Mizuno. I think Rory may go to PXG.
