I'd love to work with the best on finding equipment that fits me properly. Ball striking can be a weakness of my game while the short game bails me out; I put the ball in the general vicinity of where I need to be but precision isn't always a strong suit. I've "self-fit" myself over the past few years by experimenting with different equipment until I found something that works. I'd love to get to true pros at fitting to help fit me into proper clubs and tighten up my dispersion and precision.

Current USGA handicap Index - 8.7

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: To get my game back on track. My play has deteriorated to the point I don't enjoy playing. Would like to break 80 consistently. Used to shoot in the mid to high seventies now often mid eighties. Good short game or scores would be worse.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I'm an equipment junkie. Would love to see the Callaway facility but hope they could make equipment changes that would help me get my game back on track.

USGA index:

4.7

Goals:

My goal is to get my handicap to scratch and start playing in local tournaments. I worked at a golf course all through college, and the competition that we used to have there is something that I really miss. Getting into some local and even state tournaments is a big goal of mine for 2017.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I have always wanted to be fit just like the pros are. Making sure every aspect of every club is perfectly fit to me would be an amazing experience. My first set of clubs was Callaway, and they were the ones I blame for the start of my club ho'ing days. It would be a real full-circle event to be able to get back to an all-Callaway bag and being custom fit by them.

Lastly, it would be a dream trip. To be able to meet and pick the brains of the guys that work there and feel like a pro for a couple of days...that would be a dream-come-true.

My 2017 goals are to break 80 for the first time. I'd also like add consistency to my rounds. So constantly break 85 while moving up to the B flight in my local amateur tour.

  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

It would be an awesome opportunity to meet the brains behind the great products I put so much trust in. I love to tinker with club building and swing weights, so it would be great to be able to bounce ideas off of the industry experts. I was previously fit for a few of my clubs, but my swing has changed a bit over the last two years and it would be good to see if any adjustments are needed as well as test out the latest offerings.

Lastly, I won't lie. Ohio weather sucks balls in the winter months, thus the opportunity to play and not be wearing 15 layers would not suck!

Current USGA handicap: My typical score is 90-100 (on a par 72), so my handicap would be roughly 24.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: I feel like I can drive the ball well, can hit a lot of different shots and when I am playing well, I can shoot in the low 80s. When my game is off, I am over 100. The consistency is just not there and the cause is my bad shots are pretty bad. I am looking to focus on making my swing more consistent and working over the winter to be a better golfer when spring 2017 comes. Basically, narrow the misses of my poor shots.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: The first irons I ever purchased were Callaway X-16s, and I loved them. Also, my first driver was a Callaway X460, which I could hit a mile! Bought a set fo new clubs a couple years back and find I am missing my Callaway set. Everyone would benefit from a custom fitting; I don't believe that requires additional explanation. That said, I've never been fit for my clubs and believe that would improve my game.

Thanks for your consideration.

Current USGA Handicap - 3.8

State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - Get handicap to scratch and try to qualify for some USGA events.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - I've been fit for clubs in the past but an opportunity to be fit at a manufacturer would be awesome. It's hard to be fit for clubs when you live in a small town like I do. I have to travel at least 1.5 hours to be fit for anything which normally takes an entire day just to get fit. AND, the biggest thing I'm excited about would be the possibility of meeting Anthony Taranto, Chad Coleman, and Harry Arnett. These guys and the entire #TeamCallaway crew look like a gas to hangout with.

  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf:
  • I would love the opportunity to get properly fit and maximize my potential. I was fit for new irons 2 years ago, and my iron play has improved dramatically. My handicap has steadily dropped as a result. However, I have never been properly fit for a driver or fairway woods and I feel like it is costing me a lot of shots. I average two OB drives per round, which is making it difficult to achieve my goals. I also feel as if I am leaving yards on the table, as good drives will often have minimal to no rollout.

I have played a number of Callaway irons and drivers over the years. My first set of irons were x-14s. Loved them. Eventually switched to FT Fusions. I also played the x-proto irons in my profile pic, but am now playing Mizuno MP-54. The only Callaway clubs I currently carry are the 52 and 56 MD2 Tour Grind and a 60 PM grind. I can say without a doubt these are the best wedges I have every played. I'd love to see what current Callaway irons would be optimal for my game.

What an opportunity. Thanks GolfWRX and Callaway for the chance.

My Current USGA handicap is 14.7

My goals for my game in 2017 is to be able to hit the ball with consistency to my real ability and with that ability, I would like to trust my choice of proper club selection for the shot result desired. Hopefully my score will be the proof in the pudding.

Why I'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: Nothing excites me more that knowing how Callaway would make me not only be a better golfer but an ambassador to serve as a witness to my peers and fellow members as to how Callaway is a better product and team.

First of all thank you for the chance at this opportunity! This place is just incredible with the opportunities you provide members!

I am currently a 5.3 Handicap, with that being said, my goals for 2017 are to lower my handicap, and improve on a 37th place finish nationally this year on the Golf Channel Tour. I have in place a plan to achieve those goals with my current equipment, however this experience could only enhance my chances of attaining my goals for 2017. Another goal for 2017 is to contribute more to the community, as I have for far to long been a reader, and classified user, than active participant in in the other forums. I enjoy sharing my opinions and any knowledge I may can share with WRX.

With that being said, being a General Contractor, I really like the R & D side of golf equipment. I was a golfer long before I was a builder, and any time I get a chance I am in my garage tinkering with clubs. I love to actually design and build new things. Just seeing what goes into the design and construction of new products, is extremely fun for me to watch and read about.

Thanks again Golf WRX for the opportunity!

Current USGA handicap = 0

Goals for 2017: My game slipped a little bit in 2016. I had a back injury that never really went away. I am hoping to be Healthy in 2017 and get my handicap down to +2. I will be putting in a lot of time during the off season to attain these goals.

Who would not want to be fitted by Callaway at their state of the art facility? Callaway has always been a top OEM. Over the last few years, however, they have started to set themselves apart from the crowd. I currently play DBD driver and hybrid. I play Mizuno irons but would love to be fitted into a never before seen set of APEX. Going to Carlsbad in December (I live in Chicago) would make for a really nice getaway!

Thanks to Callaway and GolfWRX for this cool promotion.

  • 8.0

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

  • Numbers wise, I want to break 80 consistently and not limit myself to what I think I "should" score (ever start a round with three straight birdies and think "Oh crap, now what?"). On top of that, like everyone else, I do want to play golf more often, but even more so, I want to play with more confidence and set a foundation I can use to take my game further. Even though I've played for about 25 years, I still think I have so much to improve upon.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

  • I've played the game of golf since I was about five years old. It's in my blood. However, in all my years in playing golf, I've never had a full, comprehensive fitting like what's being offered. I've been fitted for irons a time or two and I've been afforded the opportunity to hit 3 or 4 drivers before purchasing one, but that's the extent of it. An opportunity like this would set me up to be the best golfer I can be. Also, as an engineer at my day job, I totally geek out over data, gear, analytics, etc. and I would get a huge thrill over having input into product development and also over having access to that level of data about my own swing.

By the way, what a killer opportunity! There's gonna be 8 lucky people around here..

5.4 Index

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

Overall goal: Get the index to 2-3ish (and keep it there) while consistently breaking 80 in more than 80% of my rounds. I currently break 80 in about 30-40% of my rounds.

-How I plan to achieve this:

1: Get more consistent with my wedge game - Through analysis using game golf, my wedge game needs some major improvement if I want to be a 2 Cap. I need to get the ball closer to the hole when I am in striking distance.

2: Hit more fairways with the driver. I have decent length off the tee (285 Avg) but am inconsistent at times. I need a fairway finder that goes a long way (I know, don’t we all?)

3: Putting. Make more putts from the 7-15 foot range. I make a lot of pars but I struggle to make birdies because this is another one of my weaknesses. If I make 2-3 of these/round it would significantly reduce my handicap. I can't find the right putter for the job.

4. Hit more greens. Currently gaming blades and I am not sure if they are helping or hurting.

5: Mental. I don't have great confidence in my equipment at the moment. I am always questioning (and tinkering) with clubs, shafts etc. It would be amazing to be fit by the best of the best so I KNOW FOR SURE I have what is right for me. I figure this is probably worth at least a shot or 2/round.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

Well besides the obvious benefits of free clubs and a few days away from the real life of kids (Dirty diapers), work (Burning my eyes staring at the computer) & wife (I love my wife nothing bad to say wink wink) etc , I would LOVE the opportunity to be fit by the best of the best and see what it’s like for the big boys on tour. I have had a few fittings in my life but I always feel like I know more than the fitter and could do a better job if they just left me alone with the various shafts, trackman, etc. I am never confident with the recommendations. If I were picked to go to this event I would obviously know I am getting the best of the best that Callaway can offer and it would give me confidence that if I put the right swing on it, the ball will listen. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for a club hoe/enthusiast like myself to go to Callaway Golf Headquarters, hang with likeminded individuals and be fit by the best of the best. I thank you for the consideration and you should definitely pick me!!! :taunt: :D :smilie_cally:

Goals:

I want to break 80 again. and I want to play well each and every time, and only make no worse than a double. I also want to keep the ball in play off the tee much more, and make a lot more putts... my goal is to reduce my putting to no more than 31 putts/round.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

I love the Callaway team! They are just "good people" and some of the most amazing people that I've had the chance to meet, both in person and on social media. I also want to beat Harry.... I REALLY want to beat Harry, and Finley too... but mostly Harry.

I also want the chance to see HIPCheck and the WRX team! I would also bring a level of humor and excitement that hasn't been seen at a WRX trip in a LONG time... just sayin'.

My game has been improving over the years but I havn't quite taken that leap forward yet. I think part of the reason for that is that I've never had the opportunity to be properly fit for clubs due to limited funds. This event could fill that gap in my game and propel me to the next level.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017

I have a few goals for the 2017 season. First, the small goal I have is that I want to break 80. On a larger scale, I want to keep dropping my handicap down to single digits, and by the end of the year, be around a 5-6... To do this, I need to tighten my short game, and keep my drives in play, eliminating blow up holes.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

The first set of clubs I got was a set of Callaway Steelhead irons and I played them for like 12-13 years. Callaway has been one of the leaders in the golf industry, and having a complete bag, dialed in for my game, and to experience an opportunity like this is a chance of a lifetime. I've been taking the game seriously now for a little over 2 years, and I would love an opportunity to keep advancing, asking questions, finding out about my game, and how Callaway might help make me better.

Thanks!

Hello WRX

My current index is 2.1

This past year I have been fighting the odd injury and have lost some speed and along with that some accuracy. All part of being 53 with a desk job I guess. I would like to be able to sit down with an experienced fitter to get a solid baseline on my game and abilities to ensure that the equipment I have is best for my situation. I have never done something like that before and would love the opportunity to do so as the new Callaway equipment looks great.

I have been playing a Callaway Big Bertha Alpha for the past two years and love it. Also been playing with the Chrome Soft ball and have to say this years version is better than the last. Also gaming an Odyssey two ball for about 10 years I think.

I cannot put into words how cool an experience like this would be. When I look at all the photos on your website of the equipment vans at the tour stops I get really pumped and can't tell you how many times I have told my wife that it would be like Christmas to spend a day visiting. (I'm sure she knows how many times!)

And being from Canada a little break from the cold weather in December would be a welcome surprise. I will even bring some Canadian bacon and Maple syrup it you want!

  • Current USGA handicap * 3.7

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017 * Long term goal is scratch or better. Removing strokes seems to come a bit slower nowadays, so my goal for next season is to cut this season's HC in half which would put me around 1.8/1.9 which I think is realistic.

  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf * I have never had a full bag fitting and I am a HUGE fan of Callaway products. Currently my bag is a pretty even split between Cally and Adams, but would have no issues being converted to a full on Cally fanboy :). Aside from that, it just flat out sounds like an AWESOME experience.

Thanks for the opportunity,

There are so many people out there who are fitters who have no idea what they're doing or what they're talking about. To be fit by Callaway Golf would just be a dream come true. I have had a putter fitting done in the past and that has been the best purchase I have ever made. It's given me a lot of confidence with my putting knowing that if I miss a putt, it surely wasn't the club but the stroke I put on the ball. I'd LOVE to have that feeling on my wedge shots, iron shots, fairway wood shots and most of all my driver shots. All expenses paid would help tremendously in taking the trip out there, although it would still be affordable, it's just nice to know that you'll be taken care of. I've never been behind the scenes of a golfing R&D center before so to see how some of the equipment is made and assembled would be awesome because I love this game so much. It's always intrigued to see the behind the scenes, not to mention play golf in the great State of California! I've played in Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Florida, Dominican Republic & Mexico. To add another one to the list, not to mention to play with the guys from Callaway, whether they're touring pros, R&D gents or just general sales gents, would be yet another humbling and honorable experience. I am keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that I am picked out of the thousands entering in this thread. Thanks to Golf WRX and Callaway.

What a crazy cool opportunity! Thanks Callaway and WRX for the opportunity!

  • Current USGA handicap

I do not keep a USGA handicap since playing on the Golf Channel Am Tour... There, my tournament index is: 16.4 and my current handicap is 14.2.

  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017

My biggest goal for 2017 is to qualify for the Golf Channel Am Tour Nationals and contend for a National Championship. Break 80. Win multiple local Golf Channel Am Tour events.

I would love to take part in this opportunity as I have always heard about the benefits to ones game with a true top to bottom fitting experience. I have had mini "fittings" here and there, shaft analysis, launch monitor analysis... but they were always done in such haste and with very little attention or care. I have noticed improvements to my game with them as 4 years ago my GHIN before starting on the GC Am Tour was 21.9. The minor tweaks here and there have been helpful no doubt, but a top to bottom fitting I feel would set me over the top and help me fulfill my goal of contending for and perhaps even winning a National Championship. I've always had a hodge podge of clubs in my bag, it would be more comforting and confidence building to look and see one Brand throughout, especially if that were Callaway. I have gamed The Big Bertha, Chrome Soft, various Odyssey putters, mack daddy wedges and on and on.

Thanks again for the opportunity. Good luck to all!

    • My primary goal for 2017 is to improve my consistency and distance control. I am capable of hitting some really good shots and just as equally poor shots. Despite the challenges I still love this game.

  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf
    1. Who would not want an opportunity for for an experience like this!!!???
    2. I have never had a proper fitting, and this would be an excellent opportunity to get fit for a whole bag from people who know what they are doing. Take the guess work out of what clubs I should buy/play.
    3. I know this part sounds like I am completely pandering to Callaway, but I really really love their clubs. The first set of irons I purchased for myself when I took up golf were a set of X-14s that I played for many years. I have tried many different brands, and I keep coming back to Callaway products. I now play the CF16s
    4. I love the technical aspects of golf. The club design, materials used, etc.
    5. No problem contributing to the Callaway live and other social media venues.
    6. I live in the Los Angeles area so travel expenses to get me there would be cheaper. Heck, I will even drive myself. :superman:

They don't comprise every club in my bag, but in all the demoing and testing I've done, Callaway is always a top qualifier for any spot. I've never had a bad product from you guys. I'm also a lefty and have always enjoyed watching Phils game and always interested to try the different clubs he bags, since like him, I think a little outside the box when it comes to lines and risk on the course. Bottom line, I love Callaway gear, I game Callaway gear, and would love a chance to visit the grace land of some of the best clubs on earth!

Current handicap: 4.6

2017 goals are to finish my school, keep lowering Amy handicap and to get closer to my goal of becoming a PGA Professional. I would love to work and achieve my goals with callaway because I already love their equipment, I play callaway wedges and balls. My goal in golf is to become a PGA professional and teach and hopefully help others enjoy this game as much as I enjoy it. Hopefully I can help grow the game that way too.

    • Current USGA handicap

    [*]

My current handicap is 9.1, but is up from 5.1 a year ago.

    [*]

    [*]

Frankly, one of the things that would really help me are lessons from a professional. Though I am a lifelong golfer, a high school golf coach, and 55 years old I have only had three professional lessons in my life. The goals for my game are as follows...

    [*]

    1. Driver accuracy plays a huge role in my scoring. When I am in the rough my scoring goes way up. It functions like a 1 stroke penalty when I miss the fairway. I get a lot of spin out of my current driver and want to see if I can minimize that to gain a little distance while also improving accuracy.

    [*]

    2. My iron ball-striking ability has gone down the last couple of years. It has become much harder to stay down on the ball and maintain consistent contact. I need help here.

    [*]

    3. My chipping, once a strength, has become very inconsistent through inconsistent contact. I am not having luck with the things I have always worked on here and probably need professional help.

    • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

I am a high school golf coach who loves golf equipment. I belong to a facebook group that talks about nothing but golf equipment. I am always on my players about being fitted by a reputable fitter so that they can be put into the best possible position to succeed. I want to be able to go through this fitting process myself so that I can my tell my players firsthand of the value of proper club-fitting. As I play with them all the time, having my players see what a proper fitting does for me can only help them want to get fitted properly themselves. I sense that a shorter driver shaft may help me put the ball in the fairway more often. I have found that a little less dispersion saves far more strokes than a little more distance. I would love to test and compare shafts and lengths to determine what would be the most effective setup for me. I would also love to find a setup that would lower my driver spin. I am a high spin player who can get a driver into the 4000 range. I completely understand how inefficient that is and would love to have a better smash factor. [*]

I also need a new putter that is actually fitted to my stroke. I am using a putter I pulled out of one of son's bags that works fine, but does not have the intuitive alignment features that some putters have. Having tested counter-balanced putters, I have found that these might be a great option that would help me smooth my stroke. I would love to have the chance to be fitted into a putter that was ideal for me, my vision of the line, and my stroke.

    [*]

Finding irons that help me more easily get the ball up in the air while also improving turf interaction is an area in which I am finding the need for increasing assistance. As I get older and less flexible, I am finding it harder and harder to stay down on the ball. I find this particularly when the ball is below my feet. Finding irons that can assist me in getting the ball up in the air more easily would be a real help to making the game easier and more fun to play.

I am a cancer survivor and since finishing my treatments, my game has changed. I would like to get fit with clubs from an amazing manufacturer like Callaway to help me achieve my goals. Thank you for consideration.
