Mine arrived today. Purchased used from a guy who used them one round, not even all of them. They look untouched, completely new, some of them still wrapped. i got them for $700. They are beautiful. The V4s probably play almost the same, but I do think that Wilson improved the look with the V6. And the gap wedge is nice. Going to get 9 holes in with them in the morning.

Rick said he is putting them in the bag.

But he hasn't done it though, he's a Ping boy through and through, would be tough to get him to ditch those iblades. He said the same thing with Mizuno JPX 900 tour, but stuck with his iblades.

How are these babies playing for you guys? I'm really considering getting them.

I have 1 round, some range time, and one scramble in with my new V4s. I got them as a change of pace set, but they will see more playing time than I anticipated for sure. I have modus 130s in mine and I highly recommend this combo, high strong flight. I think the nail is on the head in that if these were titliest or callaway etc, they would be the talk of the town. V6 looks to be the same except in a sexier package which is always good. I really think these are better than anything else you can get at the store. If you are on the fence, get them. F what is popular, get something that is really better. These also do a great job of looking more compact at address than they probably are(they are not big though by most comparisons I don't think?) and frame the ball really really well. They are also pretty damn easy to hit, maybe a little high, and they don't like to be worked much, but I am nitpicking and over analyzing with those. They are awesome irons and I am sure the V6 if it is a hair better are something worth having.

The only drawback to me so far is that they could have more feedback. They have a soft and really hollow feel and I did want something like that for my change of pace bag, but that may bother people that want more electricity thought the handle. Of course my modus shafts could play a role in that as well. Again, the only cons with these irons for some one looking for a compact PCB would be serious nitpicks.

The V6 look awesome, I think if people really blind tested them, they would be flying off the shelves. The ap2,at least to me at a big box bay, is destroyed by these.

Seems like I was wrong, he finally got his set today. Finally he walked the talked on this one.

Very nice. Wish i could afford one of these.

In this part of the world, they are slightly more than two thirds of the price of Mizuno MP25's. Around 655 USD compared to 953 USD.

The V4 are so cheap, especially with this release, that is the move(I am biased though). I mean look, the irons are not winning any beauty contests anyway, so the V4s are a little more gross looking on the back, who cares, at address they are awesome, and performance really is off the chain. V4s have to be best iron per dollar you can get now.

These are on my short list... especially since Mizuno kind of pooped on lefties in the last few years. No MP5. No JPX Tour. Was seriously considering Srixon. Now I'm having a hard time not lusting after the V6s.

Bagging some Wilson Staffs really does something to cater to my nostalgia. Now I just need a huge leather bag, a ball retriever, and headcovers that are all tethered together!

Grabbed a set of V4 as well.... I've been very happy with them..... replaced a set of Titleist 755. I'm very slow to change clubs but the V6 caught my eye so when I saw the price of the V4 I just couldn't resist hitting the Buy Now button!

I hit these at Portland Golf Galaxy tonight and came away very impressed! I was planning to pick up some Srixons (765), but now must hit them side by side with Wilsons. It's still hard for me to believe I'm choosing between these two instead of a larger brand.

go with Staff :download:

Unless you're easily influenced by marketing. Players irons largely are similar and have remained unaffected by technology, relative to game improvement irons. Get the set that performs the best for you, in the price rang you want to spend.

Does Titleist make better irons than Staff? Callaway over Srixon? Doubtful anyone makes the absolute best club but their marketing departments sure would like you to believe that. All that matters is what works best for the individual.

I went V4 over Titleist CB because of price and nothing else. I found both worked for me equally. Came down to what I wanted to spend.

I'm a lefty and if history serves, I won't have the luxury to try these before I buy. So my question is, how can I order these custom (lengths, lie angle, maybe even grips)? I've conceded on shaft type as the DG AMT seems like a solid shaft. I've checked a few online retailers but I can't really find somewhere that fits the bill. The local retailer and the fitter in my area (Wisco) will not be competetive on price. This doesn't even seem available through the Wilson site. I feel like I'm missing something here?

I really don't want to buy another big brand simply because they have saturation in the market, specifically my fitter.

Just come back from testing multiple sets of irons.

The Wilson Staff V6 pretty much destroyed everything else out there in the players CB type category.

Looking to add these or the Srixon Z965 to my bag in the near future!

Driver = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max-D

3 wood = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max HL

3 Hybrid = Tour Edge Exotics C722
Irons = 4-PW Miura KM 700
Gap Wedge = Miura HB 50*

Sand Wedge = Taylormade MG2 56*

Putter = LAB DF3

Ball = TP5x pix / Bridgestone Tour B-X

The V4's are so good, I dumped my Ping's again to go back. The V6's are beautiful and may beat the V4'S on looks, but I can guarantee you performance is a wash. I actually prefer the DG Pro shafts in the V4 to the AMT in the V6 so it's a win win for me. Got back into a brand new set of V4'S from Budget Golf for $339 with a 20% discount code.
