.@CallawayGolf inks Patrick Rodgers to a staff pro deal. He'll use Callaway clubs, balls, and an Odyssey putter in '17.

 

I hope this move jump starts his pro career. He has way too much talent to not be succeeding right now.

Rodgers and an Indy putter are a perfect fit. I just hope he chose it for the performance and not because he is a die hard Colts fan!

I guess if you sign with a new club company, you lose that Nike equipment deal that's still in effect, that is if it's not yet ended?

 

I'm sure the apparel and footwear part hasn't ended for the former staffers.

I am sure it is just like the wording in Rory's contract: any money they take from someone else is less money Nike pays you.

I would agree with you there. He signed with Peter Millar as a rookie and their clothes fit his "style" pretty well. I'd imagine he'll stick to the more classic side of Nike apparel and not dive too far into the form fitting side.

He's only been a 2 ball guy since signing with Callaway. He used various Ping mallets when he was originally with Ping but it looks like a Cadence TR Ketsch is in his bag.
