Screw it, took the plunge. Was really considering a SkyTrak, but I really just despise that friggin company, and the reviews on its outside use kinda deterred me. I wanted a unit mostly for outdoor range use where I could see ballflight and get feedback on carry distance and ballspeed. Sounds like this is the ticket and the issues seem to be getting worked out. Order #906, says July...hoping sooner.

What day did u place order? I bet it will ship soon.

I'm thinking about getting one of these. Any ideas on what would be the best version of iPad to use with it. I have a camera tripod I would mount the iPad on. Since I have an iPhone, I guess that would be the best route to take.

Callaway Mavrik Max 10.5°
Callaway XR 16 3 wood
Callaway Mavrik Max 3 thru 5 hybrids
Srixon z565 6 thru PW
48°, 52° & 58° Cleveland CBX wedges
Ping Sigma 2 Kushin C flat stick

All subject to change in the blink of an eye.........and I blink a lot.

Anyone tried superglueing the stickers?

Wonder if titleist/tm/srixon could be talked into making mid to tour level balls with embedded sticker practice balls.

Anyone having issues with getting their sessions to sync to the web? Out of the blue, my last 2 sessions didn't sync...

Also, on the Mevo user group they said I could select my bag I created on the web but I do not see that option. Can anyone help?

Try going into the settings and do a backup, should bring down the latest.

Starting to think the club head speed measurement on the Mevo isnt that great. I had a few 150mph ball speed readings where the club head speed was anywhere from 98-107mph. My SSR read between 108-112 for all of them.

Was looking at getting one of the little radar devices superspeed golf sells to go with their sticks. It's $129 and with the MEVO being $500 was trying to decide if should go ahead and get the mevo instead.

Will the mevo measure just the club speed if you don't hit a ball (like the super speed sticks)?

You have to hit the ball for the Mevo to give you a reading.

If you are striking it well, I would guess the Mevo is more accurate as 100/150 would be 1.50 smash. 112/150 would be 1.33 smash, which would be not so good ball striking. Even the 107/150 strikes would be 1.40 smash.

If you are striking it well with a smash of 1.50 with 107, that will get you 160 ballspeed and thats moving it pretty well.

My SSR reads consistently high, but at least it is consistent so I can at least measure gains with it.

Ball Speed always seems to be correct for me. I was doing some ball testing between the B330RX and Prov1 and found it interesting. ProV1 was 2mph faster off the driver and a few yards longer. Irons were longer with the B330-RX by 6 yards across the board. I might be making a ball switch over to the RX due to the gains off the irons.

I'm getting my ball speed back up between 158-162 consistently and I've noticed since my speed has been up I've experienced WAY more missed shots. I'm hitting into a net 10' away, with the mevo 4' back from the tee and using dots. It's really frustrating when you're working on something and smoke one and nothing registers.

youre launching driver at almost 20 degrees? smashes are pretty low. that's a ton of height relative to your swing speed.

My Driveway Patio area slopes away from the house 3* according to my IPhone bubble level. Out on the course the trajectory seems pretty good. This is where the Mevo needs a built in level cause I think its reading high and skewing the numbers a bit. Seems kinda dumb to have a unit that measures launch angle when there is no way to zero it out.

I just built a little pad for it that's level with my mat. Works well.

That's a good idea, I might run by the Hardware store at lunch and see if they sell the small bubble levels and I will make a pad out of ABS with adjustable feet.

SSR measures the club head way at the end of the toe, the closest point. That point is also moving the fastest. It can be about 5%+ on the high side.

I would be interested to know how the Mevo reads the clubhead speed? My SC200, you could swing without hitting a ball and it will give you a yardage and a strange ball speed. The Mevo seems like it measures the ball speed every time and every once in awhile it wasn't paying attention and gives you a random Head Speed and smash just to fill in the blanks.

The thing about the measurement is I'm jumping from 101 to 112 swing to swing. My ssr reads consistently high within 1-3 mph.

I'm Seeing a 10mph variance in club head speed for the same ball speed and carry distance. I have hit shots with the driver and I was like man I really smoked that driver, then the numbers pop up and its a 95mph club head speed with 148 ball speed with a 1.54 smash with 250 carry. I look at my SSR and its 107mph.

It's pretty hard for either TM or fs to get completely accurate clubhead speed measurements as centre of head is hard to locate. Better off going off ballspeed or using the quad. Ssr will measure the outside of the club so will read high. You're best off doing some sample testing against the quad and seeing how numbers relate.

Some irons or woods will traditionally be hard to pick centre. I know this is v much the case with Nike drivers

I really think the Mevo over reads the irons and under reads the woods.

I think somebody posted awhile back they called fs and confirmed +/- 5 mph was within their tolerance. Which is pretty big if you just look at one shot. I've been using the swing speed just to get an idea of how I'm swinging. If I hit 10 shots it seems to avg out to something reasonable. The ballspeed seems to be more accurate by everybody's account. So if it felt pure, and the Mevo gave you a 1.39 smash...just divide the ballspeed by 1.48 and it should be pretty close.

I had a good session tonight with a 256 yard carry average. There were some head scratchers with the clubhead speed.

SSR read 114mph. The 915 D2 just doesnt produce a ton of ball speed.

the SSR reads very high. It is not an accurate representation of what swing speeds really are. I'd use an SSR for aspects like "swing speed trainer" to see of your swing speed is getting faster. Your spin numbers look pretty good. With those ball speed numbers your true swing speed if you are catching it close to pure would be in the 102-103 range assuming a 1.48-1.49 Smash (which would mean you're catching the center of the face). A 114 mph swing hit in the center of the face is going to produce ball speed numbers 170mph plus.
