Finally got to my office to see my order, 24/36 TM's were Lethal's in not so great shape, good shag balls is how I would describe them.

 

To their credit they are sending me two dozen replacements of Nike's and Callaway and a shipping label to send back the Lethal's. Clearly they goofed but their customer service has been very good in light of the mistake.

So I ordered 10 doz Chrome's, & 10 doz TM's

Chrome's are fine, but the TM's had right at half of the less than stellar Lethals...

I've emailed a few times, & have left SEVERAL messages with CS & Matthew?

No response...

I've been pretty friendly about it so far, as I do have plenty of balls...

But no very happy about NO RESPONSE from anyone from LGB's...

Anyone else had this problem that purchased the TM's?

Not cool that is happening, personally I had no issues, they paid for return shipping on my Lethals and sent me Callaway replacements once my returns were received.

I'm in the same boat emailed them haven't heard anything. Not impressed especially after seeing other people getting responses and/or "refunds". What ever just won't be buying there again.

Finally received an email back...

They are (in theory) sending me 59 (the number I was unhappy with) TPx balls that are scheduled to arrive Wednesday...

We update with their condition...

But I too am most likely in the same boat... Will be doing my shopping elsewhere...

Agreed. This is a simple case of overpromise and underdeliver. They should have removed the Lethals from the deal, as their quality (as seen by many of us and surely them) flies in the face of the soundbite/quote we have from LGB about the quality of these balls earlier in this thread.

 

But for sub $1 balls it was worth a punt and like you will simply not bother with them in the future. Especially with TM tour balls, they eventually make it to the $2/ball new at some point anyways.

You guys who received Lethals (I got 10 dozen but no TM so this doesn't impact me) saying you won't order from LGB again and that they over promised and under delivered might be missing out on solid deals. It seems like LGB is working out the Lethal issue with everyone who contacted them about it; to me that's making right by the customer and wouldn't scare me away in the future, in fact it would do the opposite as I'm more comfortable doing business with companies that will stand behind their goods and fix mistakes when they arise. Just my opinion, of course.

Oh sure - we're all sensible folks and no one here is going all nuts like in some DOND threads :)

I think the point - or at least mine - is that with sooooo many ball deal options out there, one cockup is all it takes.

 

If it was something like equipment that would be one thing - I have received damaged equipment from a seller in the past and they rectified it in a fantastic manner and I've purchased from them again, multiple times.

But these are just balls, if I need to faff about to get an order of balls correct, I'm just going somewhere else, because of all the other options.

I feel like others, I order 10 dozen balls, 7 dozen of which were Taylor Made. Half of those were a ball not supposed to be in the mix. Like I said before, If I were the pro on the range (I highly doubt these were on the range of any tournament) I would be embarrassed hitting these balls. There are just too many other honest companies to waste time complaining. It was a good deal if expectations weren't set. In the end, there are multiple other companies with similar deals often so it is easier for me just to take business elsewhere than worry about returning 4 dozen balls. This thread will speak volumes in a google search. I don't care what business you are in, you should know what you are selling.

They did. Or at least they did when I ordered. I like Lethals, still have some BNIB ones left :)

It was the quality of them, as many had seen significant play.

IIRC, the description that was initially off, was Callaway balls description not including SR3s. Of course my IIRC isn't always the best.

Original description was just "Tour Preferred and Tour Preferred X"... then the rep's post here had Lethal in the description... then the website was updated to include Lethal. I think the same timeline is true on the Callaway side for the Speed Regimes, but not 100% sure and I don't think there were similar complaints about the condition of those.

 

If you ordered after Lethal was added you have less to complain about, other than the condition which wasn't clearly explained/described to begin with. If you ordered before the description change, I'd email and call until they sent replacements.

I'd say simply the expectations were what was originally stated. Nothing more or less. Typically I expect purchased items to be "just as described." Didn't think that is asking too much. Price is irrelevant. Privileged is when you get something for nothing, these were actually bought and paid for.

It seems the guy from LGB coming on this thread and adding conflicting info is what caused a lot of the problem. When I ordered, I didn't see anything about the condition but was assuming they'd be in pretty good condition since they were just range balls. Fortunately, I ordered all Callaway balls and those seem to be one of the great deals and I'm very happy with my purchase. Of course, they also messed up the description part as well on the site because even though I got a minimal amount of SR3 with my order, they still weren't supposed to be included per the description on the site.

 

I think this was the first time they've offered a deal like this with previously used range balls so hopefully they learned a lot this time around and will do a better job if they get some more stock of these. I've seen similar deals with previously used range balls but they weren't anywhere near $10 a dozen (or the $9/dozen I paid with a discount code).
