Any mention of the quality that I missed? I'm in for some of the Taylormade, but decided to look around the website just now. Noticed that their AAAA TP/TPX used balls are the same price for these. How good of a deal are these balls, considering the only possible difference is that they were used on a tournament range and have practice stamped on them?

 

EDIT: Granted, the post from the Lost Golf Balls staff member on page 1 made it seem like they could be 5A quality, but just thought I would ask.

I went based on this quote from LGB: I have personally been able to put my hands on most of these golf balls and they look fantastic, some appear to have never even been touched.

 

I'm not expecting 120 pristine balls, but at 81 cents a ball, at worst they are off season balls

They still have plenty of the Bridgestone and TaylorMade balls on eBay. According to the description, they are AAAA quality.

Got my shipping confirmation for my 5dz TM. Lostgolfballs was great too, i emailed them yesterday and asked for only TPX since i dont like the regular TP and they said no problem. Good to work with and i'll definitely send them more business in the future.

 

Wish I would have thought of that. I'd rather have all TPs. Too late now, They shipped yesterday.

Quick report. Just got my 5 dozens of Callaway practice balls. Balls looked almost new.

I got 3 dozens of chrome soft + and chrome soft ++ mixed. (never heard of + and ++ model.

1 and a half dozen of chrome soft regular

Half a dozen of SR3.

 

Anyone know what is the chrome soft + and ++ are?

I've got a box of tour issue chrome soft ++, which allegedly is a lower spinning version of the chrome soft x. Hoping to play this weekend and try them out, but putting with it and bouncing it on the wedge it is definitely a little clicker.

 

I'm ok with that as I really don't like that marshmallow feel of the chrome soft. If anyone has more details on these I'd love to hear it.

 

The ++ is Phil Mickelson's ball. It is a firmer ball, I think around 105, and is supposed to spin around the greens more. I had a couple of sleeves and prefer the regular Chrome soft .. I had trouble feeling like I compressed the ++ ball.

In your pic, it looks to me like the top XV and plain Z star have the new 2017 markings, while the lower two with the fat arrow are 2015/2016 versions.

Id be all over the deal for the Callaway chrome soft if they were all chrome soft. The SR3 and the soft couldn't be further from each when comparing.

Got mine yesterday. Overall happy. There were a couple that had the sh1t kicked out of them and go to the shag bag, and a few that have some nicks, but the vast majority are in excellent shape and go into play Sat :)
