Has Anyone Else Really Enjoyed Seeing the LPGA WITB From the U.S. Open This Week?

Yes, it would be nice to include the LPGA WITB more. Including more Champions Tour WITB would be nice to see as well. The diverse look into WITB would be a better representation of the equipment used at the professional level and also a chance to peek at equipment from other markets.

I like to see the Ladies bags, as it is a nice to see what they are gaming . I noticed there was a lot of Apex and Apex Pros and Wie's blades.

Interesting in that there aren't near as many players on the LPGA who have club deals as on the PGA tour (where is seems you are in the minority if you don't have one). A lot of what you see is what they are playing because they like it and feel comfortable with it...versus because some company is stuffing money in their pocket to play their equipment.

 

I was a bit surprised to see the amount of PXG in players bags who didn't have a club deal with them...and also surprised by the amount of Titleist...who doesn't show any LPGA members with a club deal on their website. Lot of Vokey wedges...lot of PXG wedges...even saw those in some of the Asian player's bags.

Very interesting. Lots of PXG, including random PXG wedges, some interesting putters, and more long irons than I expected.

I felt like, looking through the WITB, there were more face shots than there normally are. Those are the shots I always want to see but rarely get to in the normal PGA WITB.

I agree, love more LPGA and Champions tour stuff all around. I hardly ever watch the PGA tour anymore except for the majors. It really bores me. Lots of no-emotion robots hitting driver-wedge on every hole. Puts me right to sleep.

Yes, there were plenty of PXG clubs in the bag of non-PXG staffers, but I thought I counted more TaylorMade, Callaway, and Ping irons than PXG.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if PXG gave a few non-staffers the clubs. 'Darn near free advertising, no?

for us super seniors--am 71--we learn more watching the LPGA than any other tour..

 

i have always lamented the lack of WITB for LPGA players here and this is a wonderful addition and hope to see more..

 

i love Lydia Ko's bag as it is not that far away from mine even though her driver ss is probably 20mph more..

 

i pay particular attention at their transition clubs from their longest fairway wood to their irons as this is the area where i normally have a lot of variations in my own choices..

 

right now i have just switched a 27* 9wood for my 25* hybrid as the 9wood goes higher a just a bit farther and also a bit more consistent so far..

Can't blame the players. If PXG offered me a free set of clubs, I doubt I could say "No".

I don't doubt it's interesting to some, but for a few reasons, its not of interest to me. In the past played a number of times with LPGA women pros and had great times. Didn't look in their bags, they didn't look in mine, and we never talked equipment, which was fine. Besides, tour pros are paid to play what's in their bags. Doesn't necessary mean WITB is what they choose at home.

I find the PGA Tour journeyman bags to be more interesting than the top players' bags. I like the LPGA bags that have more variety, or the odd unusual club.
