I will say the ball Mcilroy is playing must be working for him because he complained about the Titleist in the wind....the TM ball seems to be working just fine for him at this point. Dustin Johnson is "crushing" his drives 266 yards in the wind......must be tough out there

Huge turnaround for McIlroy today but still seems like a case of what could have been with some silly shots thrown away on the back 9. He is still not far away but if he had got to -3, he would have been right there behind Spieth and Koepka before they went out this afternoon.

if the weather gets worse, the leaders who had very fair weather yesterday could easily shoot +2 or worse. Makes for an exciting weekend. One day of good weather for the leaders, one day of bad so far.....the weekend should be fun....OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP PARTY TIME

very curious how spieth comes out today. he has a penchant for getting a little whiny when the ball doesnt do what he expects, and he wasnt that way at all yesterday. With the tough conditions today can he keep his cool and grind out a good round?

the coverage is really going in fits and starts. they had some stretches showing tons of golf and mixing in some pro tracer, but then theyll go 45 minutes of what you described. Lacking consistently, and I am willing to bet it turns into the spieth/brooks/henrik show this afternoon
