Didnt want to read through 35pages to see if anyone else brought this up but am i the only one who doesnt particularly like Poulter? All i think of for him is the stories of him getting two different spectators fired from their jobs for giving him a hard time at a tournament, pretty unnecessary imo. Could have these stories wrong if so let me know, but if they hold true i just don't get whats to like.

First I've heard of it. To the best of my knowledge everyone loves Poulter.

 

That's because he can't get his facts straight. Big surprise. The single spectator brought it on himself after going on Twitter after his drunken butt was removed from the tournament, who cares. Blowhard who was obviously an embarrassment to the school, and likely it was the school he was supposed to have been representing at the event, or there because of his connection. Either way, or neither, he was a butthead. Ted Bishop, who was not a spectator (that's pretty dumb), was the victim of pc reaction to his lame tweet and Facebook posts.

 

Don't agree Bishop should have lost his job, but hardly Poulter's fault.

Rory has putted quite well this week, wouldn't judge him off one putt. Spieth misses putts from that length on occasion too. Has just made a few too many mistakes. Poorly managed and played 10th hole and some iffy short game shots.

TBH I don't get all the hate for Spieth taking his time on his shots. His group is not playing slow based on what I can tell on TV. Spieth and Kutchar just hit their tee shots on the 15th and the next group is on the green.

I don't understand, so the only tool the R&A has to test the best players in the world during a major championship is the weather? Doesn't surprise me...

The Open and R&A don't have a fixation with E par scores, the winner is more often in low double digits than around level par.

 

Also third place is -4 in this tournament. You'd think that Grace shot 62 on a pitch and putt course. Only 17 players under par.

No. But he is 13th all time in career earnings. Even in this era of bloated prior money it shows he has been one of the most consistent players ever. Much like Furyk he is steady. Spectacular? No. But impressive nonetheless
