Purse: $1.6 Million

Defending champ: Lydia Ko

They made some changes to holes 1 and 18. They felt 18 was playing too easy, so they moved the tees back, added fairway bunkers, and reshaped the green, Then they completely revamped the driving range, which was much needed. The change to 1 were minimal, shifting the tee box right to accommodate the changes to the 18th green.

How many times will we see Ms. Lewis and the "That's the Spirit" commercial? They should have played that after she posted that HUGE number in the USWO. Did anyone see what happened to her? Bad break or bad shots or both?

How many times will we see Ms. Lewis and the "That's the Spirit" commercial? They should have played that after she posted that HUGE number in the USWO. Did anyone see what happened to her? Bad break or bad shots or both?

The triple on 11 looked forced to me. I watched her second shot over and over, looks as though she went right at the pin from deep rough, which Julie had just said was a mistake. She could have hit out right for a 40 footer, and made 5 at worst. It was a tough chip from the back, but she just hit it to hard. The first pitch from down in front, she flat out dug the heel and mishit the shot, back to her feet, then safely up to the back, and 2 putt for 7.

HJ Choi was faced with a similar shot on 12 yesterday from the rough, to a left pin, over a bunker, she hit 40 ft right and made par. I do realize she made a huge mistake going at the pin on 16.

the 10 on 18, was 2 shots she laid the sod over on and hit in the water from about 100 yds.

I personally think she was on fire and thought she could just hit that shot on 11, although it could have been a pull, but she was staring it down like she liked it.

Mental errors and bad shots.....

Fox jinx - they were sooooooooooooo upping her after her birdie run - was bound to strike at some point.

Agree 11 was initially caused by trying to keep riding the birdie run and got greedy, although the pitches were 100 shooter poor. Speaking of which, the double-sod overlay was impressive, pretty much two identical shots inside 100.

Can Lydia finally get off the schnide and defend? Slim and none, the chances?

I think more than anything, her confidence is shook. I know the numbers say her putting is not much worse than last year, but never seen her miss so many inside 8ft.

another reason to watch the j golf feed. They actually have short commercials about golf. I feel like I should be 80 years old watching the golf channel.

I went for a little bit today. They made really nice changes to the range. Before it was pretty much a joke, you couldn't even tell how far you were hitting your driver because there was a net at 230 yards out. If you miss the 18th green short, it will roll down a hill and you will be left with a very tough chip with the new changes.

They had a Women's Summit there today and about 300 Women were doing Yoga right behind the players on the range. Oddest thing I've ever seen on a golf course.

I remember last year Ariya , Lydia and Mirim Lee combined to make 11 pars and 1 birdie in the playoff on 18. Dottie Pepper was doing the broadcast, you could feel she was biting her tongue hard. I wonder if the make over has anything to do with that.

They planned on making the changes well before the tournament started last year. So the playoff didn't change anything. The main reason they made the changes was for the range. It was almost a joke before.

I probably won't be going as I will be out playing myself. 27 holes every Saturday and Sunday.

Crowds were small yesterday I thought. Was there for most of the day. Maybe because the weather was hot and the local news were predicting storms on/off for the afternoon that never was the case
