PXG Paintfill Issue

So curious what you guys think here. Attached is a pic of my 7 iron's paint fill. I have only 4 rounds on these clubs plus the included warm up swings at the range.

 

For as expensive as these clubs are I see this as an issue. Should I care though? Doesn't affect playability at all.

 

Thoughts?

I will say that I do use headcovers for these (I know, I know). Would that potentially have an affect on the paintfill? My Wedge is starting to do the same so I imagine all will have an issue in a short time frame.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, it is going to happen over time anyways. 4 rounds is a little soon, I'd agree. However if it is bugging you, pick up a Sharpie paint pen or some model paint and fill them.

Ping makes forged clubs? Pings using screws for increasing MOI? Ping is using TPE behind a thin face? Just stop it already.

I think the paint fill loss is caused by wider than normal font on the numbers. There is more of a chance of the paint being scrubbed by mats, grass and dirt.

they are so expensive, that paint fill should last for decades if you ask me. They are supposed to be a cut above, attention to every detail etc etc

The shape of the sole grind might have contributed to the lost of paint fill.

However, as said, the price level for a club should demand higher than industry level quality.

 

The OEM could have made the stamp a little deeper and use a better quality paint to fill the cavity. Judging from several post here on the WRX for their quality and customer service ..... they had better shape up if they want to be around for a long time.

 

Golfers will have a higher expectation for quality of product and service when they pay a premium for it, never forget that !

I'd report this to the consumer advocate at your closest metropolitan newspaper or television situation. PXG needs to exposed and held accountable.

I am a little shocked. Call PXG and see what they say. I have 0311Ts with many rounds on them and perfect paintfill.
