(NO POLITICS) Nike Footwear for 2018

Broke down and got the Black vaporstorms for $127 shipped. I like the gray better but the black matches my rain gear better. And the price can't be beat.

 

Is the sizing the same as the LCV2?

Just got home and got my shoes. For me, same size 13 and they fit a touch tighter than the lcv2, it reminds me of the LCV1 fit to be honest. But I was wearing cushy socks instead of tighter fit. I do like them though! The boa system is nice and it's a secure fitting shoe. There is a ton of room in the bootie as I'm a tall skinny guy but it doesn't bother me.

 

I'd say a touch tighter than the lcv1 - but that could just be the bootie or the boa staying tight vs. laces loosening a little while walking. I've worn the storms for 2 rounds and they loosen up a little but I feel the storms is still a touch tighter than the lcv1 that in the same size.

Me too - I just ordered a pair. Had 20% off birthday code from NDC and decided to pull the trigger. I've been fairly critical of Nike recently but I like the Lunar Commands a lot and the LCV2 are nice as well. Waiting on the black/grey color way to come out on those.

Yeah...the air zoom direct look like they might be super comfy...but i'm not dropping $140 on them. After getting 3 pairs of Fi Premieres for under 50 bucks each i'm having a hard time envisioning buying any new golf shoes for a while. They all still look and fit like brand new too. I'll probably get some roshes though, I need some spikeless golf shoes for winter simulators and random range days.

Also thought you guys might want to see my newest project. My 2001 XIs failed recently, as did my CDP 3s. It was a spectacular loss as I've only worn the XIs a dozen times or so- and then I had a Golfwrx sneakerhead epiphany. After talking to a local cobbler, he said he would give a sole swap a try. It might turn out great- or terrible. I ordered some golf shoes for the donor soles. I'll leave it as a surprise as to what soles they are going to get (hopefully) and will give you all an update once it's done. Forget waiting for the XI lows- I'm gonna have a pair of mids in a month or so! Of course, I'll buy the official pair when it releases, too...

Will be interesting to see how they do, I had a go at making an xi low.

 

I used the TW 15 Sole, and the fit is off. On the outside of the shoe the cut of the pattern leather is off and no way to make it sit lower. However I’m almost positive that a new xi low with a new recently Jordan golf release would be a great fit.

 

 

Post pics once this project is done. I’m interested in seeing how they do.

Those are the exact 2 pair I’m getting for sure. Holding out a bit hoping for them to go on ndc clearance sale since it’s still 7 degrees in Pittsburgh and will be for the foreseeable future.

I sized up on vaporstorm saw I saw people say toe box was cramp. The LCV2 two area feels a little tight (width wise, not length). The white pair I have feels a little less cramp. Odd to say the least. I walked around last night with the LCV2 and felt better/ wasn’t as cramp. I was thinking about sizing up but there was already room length wise and didn’t want to make the gap even larger (small gap from tip of toes to front of shoe. In the end, I just don’t want my pinky toe to get squashed or get a blister while walking because the shoe is causing it.

I used Angelus paint Mixed with Angelus “2-hard”. Tapes up the shoe really well and took a toothbrush and dipped the brush into the paint and flicked the paint on. Then used an Angelus gloss finish to coat the paint to help avoid it chipping off. Or coming off when i clean the midsole. It’s a very simple process, the most important part is just making sure you tape up the shoes really well.

Looks like you’re already on the NDC product page, I’m sure there’s a description for the shoe and warranty, etc.

 

If it’s for sizing. I won’t be much of help.
