(NO POLITICS) Nike Footwear for 2018

Recommended Posts

been a little under a year since i was last on here. we all should be on the lookout for the pros for the 2019 lineup of shoes to make their appearances. last year nike used the fedex cup playoffs to debut the lcv2 qs (camo) as well as some european tour events...that later lead to the release in november. so im anticipating on one more pe from nike before the year ends

Easy fix if it squeaks, just put baby powder under the soles.

My tour premiere squeaked the first round I played in them, the next time I was going to play in them I put baby powder under the soles and they never squeaked again.

What if you don’t own a baby?

I don’t know. I own a baby either, but a quick stop to the local target store fixed it.

I have Lunar Control 2’s, pretty much the only golf shoes I’ve worn since 2015 and mine still hold up well and don’t squeak. Granted I only play 1-2x a month from feb-aug and I ride in a cart so maybe my squeaky days are coming?

I also need to replace the spikes in mine. Any recommendations on good replacement spikes?

My views on the recent above.....

1. The Roshe G are poor golf shoes if you walk. Just about passable for the driving range

2. Lunarlon provides decent and comfortable cushioning but are no where as good as Boost based shoes

3. Both my pairs of Lunar Command 2 make a "farting" sound when I walk and other wearers say the same

Disagree on #1. The shoe just probably doesn't fit your foot. All shoes aren't a uniform fit.

i believe they take the champ zarma tour spike. the tri-lok system. you can remove your current spikes and see which spike system they match up with on this chart: http://www.golfspikesdirect.com/which-spikes/

I agree all shoes aren’t a uniform fit. Lunar Control UK size 8.5, Lunar Command UK 8, adidas Boost UK 8.5, adidas adiCross UK 9. Plus my wife is a trained shoe fitter! I stand by my opinion that the Roshe G are poor golf shoes

I saw some closeups and I think 5dogs is right, Roshe’s with real cleats

Yes new Premiere Roshe will carry traditional cleating. I don’t know if they are done with the current style or the regular Roshe will still use it.

Did I read correctly? A page or two back someone went back to ______ brand, as LCV2 was not providing enough traction? The LCV and LCV2 is the best thing Nike has done to cleating in the last 4-5 year’s! I just have to ‘sit down’ a bit at address and I can feel my shoes dig in. Sad it may be gone, or that’s the rumor atleast.

I think they are on sale currently. BOGO if I remember correctly. Also, don't forget to use your Ebates, you'll need the savings if you're getting 2 babies.

i dont believe in the markings. all shoes make markings on greens, its the most sensitive part on the golf course. the freaking golf ball makes worse marks than shoes. i always repair any markings i leave on a green

Didn't see anyone ask but if you're in the market for LCV2s's and you think youre feet may be a tad wider than the average bear, GET THE WIDE versions.

I ordered mine as a Wide size by accident and I am so glad I did that. Earlier I got a pair of Lunar Command 2's in a regular size and fit just fine.

Also i'm seeing a lot of people letting go of their Premiere's due to a sizing issue, but I haven't tried out those yet.

1.Roshe G's are good for warm dryish weather. For the morning dew, these are poo. Comfy enough for long practice sessions and a quick executive 9.

2. Lunarlon is amazing. Haven't tried anything boost cause you can't mix the 3 stripes and the glorious check mark.

3. Never had golf shoes fart on me, but a few others have mentioned this. My left armpit farts sometimes when I hit a cut.

Roshes with real spikes would be amazing golf shoes. Bring back the TW14 shoes!

Any idea what the original launch date was supposed to be? I love my Racers and have still hung on to my Fruity Pebble Chukkas. If they did that on the Racer I would be in 100%.

This one is close to that but not quite as bright.

I would love to see some of the crazier colorways from the Racer sneakers, like the Hyper Punch ones.

Can anyone comment on the roshes little nubs durability when using the shoes as range shoes and primarily on mats?

I typically goto the range 2-3x a week for a bucket. My previous lunar cypress shoes i Used on course then transitioned them to range shoes. The nubs are gone, thebwear from the matsbhave taken their toll and some of the “spikes” on them are no longer there (flat).
