Spoke with CS this morning to get some info on the items I was looking for. My O Works and MD3 wedge were on the BOGO, as were the Steelhead XR Hybrids. He said the only hybrids/woods not included were Epic.

 

The XR 16 driver I was eyeing was 40% off. He said the 50% off would likely be on really old stock. Like Xhot, Xhot2, and possibly XR 2014 drivers.

Question for folks on this forum. How would you describe "average" condition clubs? I'm specifically looking at wedges but since the photos on the site aren't actuals, I don't want to buy wedges that are coming in already pretty beat-up or worn out.

With bogo, I would go with the like new. Based off of personal experience, my "like new" came in the wrapper brand new.

I wonder if the 30% would apply to other brands?

Their promos typically do not apply to clearance or other brands. It usually only applies when they run a specific promo for those two categories.

If available, I would agree. Hard to pass up on that discount. I was assuming what you were looking for was only available in average. I have been wanting to grab a few more MD2 tours, but they are only available in average. Been tempted to grab a pair just to see if the condition might be better than expected.

Pondering a XR 16 Pro driver with the Speeder 665, a 14* and 18* XR 16 Pro with the 765. Any other shafts I should consider?

I had an iron fitting this past weekend, expecting to place an order for P790s when it was all said and done. In the end it came down to Apex CF16 or P790. The numbers were nearly identical, looks/sound/feel was a wash. At that point, price became the determining factor for me. 790s came in at $1300, CF16 at $1200. Then I remembered that CPO Black Friday typically started around this time. I found a like new set of lefty CF16 4-AW (stock xp95), placed an eBay order for the X100s I was fit into as well as my grip of choice, and just like that saved over $400 from what my fitter quoted me. I even bought 4 MD3s to go along with it. Now I get to do gap testing over the winter and figure out which ones to keep.

I am not sure all the reps were clear on it, they are now. My guy said they got a specific memo on it, but was not immediately. He was about to load my cart with 2 SZ's for $209 shipped. I was not thrilled.

Callaway Preowned now has "25% lower pricing sale" going on now. Does anyone know if they honor these black friday deals on top of these newly discounted prices? I.e. 30% off order, or buy one get one putter/hybrid for free? Or are the black friday specials just applicable to the original item prices?

I think this new 25% lower price is just a marketing trick. You should get the price you see, and then get the other BOGO free, or 30% off the price you see. When they ran the 20% GIMME code, the irons I was looking at were $500 without the 20% code, now they show up at $500 and "claim" 25% lower price. When I order I expect to get 30% off the $500 or I won't be purchasing.

Anyone know anything about the Speeder Evolution 565 Stiff in a fairway wood? I like lighter shafts. Tad (the person I spoke to) suggested that or the Fuji Pro 62 Green for higher launch mid/low spin -- which I what I want for a 3 wood (15*).

Finally placed my order. Got the Mrs. 2 LN Steelhead XR Hybrids BOGO, me a VG PM Grind 64 and the Mrs. a free LN 56* MD3 with elements shaft. And 40% off a LN Fusion HT driver shortened 1" with elements shaft for her. All total with shipping was $400. Just crazy.

I tried the 665 in an Epic driver and liked the higher ball flight but thought it was pretty soft for a stiff flex.
