S200 vs S400 wedge shaft

Any difference in playability between the two shafts for a wedge?

S100,200,300,400 are sorted by weight. They are essentially the same shaft with the same step pattern.

 

The 200 in theory will play ever so slightly softer than the 400, but I doubt most people could tell the difference.

You get +/- 200 wedge points depending on which one you choose. Wedge points can be redeemed for extra spin, mulligans on chunked/bladed shots, or free drops out of any green side (not fairway) bunker.

Just weighed a DGS 400 at 131 grams so up to 10 grams heavier.

 

I keep two DG S400 as spare wedge shafts and swap them in as needed.

I also have a spare DG S300 from a Callaway wedge

and a spare as new DG S200 from a Mizuno, sold the head, kept shaft and Grip !!

 

Buy a wedge with the DGS400 and give it a try!!

Probably not for most but it all depends on how your swing responds/reacts to the heavier weight. The slight change in stiffness wont make any difference to the ball flight.

I always found touch shots with wedges to work a lot better with S300 or S400......I think the heavier weight with my tempo just works in wedgs.
