Played Henderson lake last year on March 17, was alright for the first round of the season. Super tight. But was great to be out!

Yeah, Henderson Lake isn't a long course (for someone like you), but it is very tight, especially in the wind.

I'm under 35 so most of the courses that I'm looking at have some sort of young professional type of deal. 

 

Two courses that I'm currently looking at are Inglewood or Winston. 

It is a bit of a hike, but did you consider Redwood? Price is right and from what I heard they put in some extensive renovations (not sure if those are done yet).  I switched memberships a few years ago to another course closer to town, but still consider Redwood a great course with some great members.

I have nothing in the queue regarding the new Taylormade line.  Would I like to try something, absolutely. 

 

I learned my lessons (again) last year regarding pre-orders.  Everything like that (for me) ends up taking a lot longer than just waiting for the official release and walking into a store.

It's little bit too far from my Work & Home. I will def check it out and play a 18 during summer.

I was finally able to get my Ping fairway from Montana after it was held hostage by COVID for a year. 

 

Now it's being held hostage by my club guy who decided to peace out to Palm Springs....

I picked up a vessel VLX carry bag 

 

I also just had my srixon z945 stripped raw and will be rebuild them with new grips and custom ferrules 

 

also picked up a vokey wedgeworks 60* v grind

I got a set of I59's last year. Hit them once at TPC fox and once at harvest hills range (they got some newer titleist yellow balls now if I missed something). I also bought my yearly supply of TP5x. 

This year I may get some new wedges (Betti's, Glide Pro,  or SM9). I will buy a new bag, probably a C130. I will wait and see what Cobra offers this year. If I change my TSI2 it would be for a stealth but Cobra is always in the cards. I may just get some drunk irons (GI) to bomb around with. This is why this is silly season for me. I get bored... 

I just bought an annual at Olds, so that's my first purchase. I will play there at least 30 times this year so I can justify it. The value for money is great, travel and gas suck but offset things. Theres my reasoning. I only played there like the last week in a season two years ago. I trust Kale's opinion on course conditions so I am pretty jacked. 

 

Interested on the raw's that you will game this year Kale. The 45's are great irons.

Those are going to be sickly soft. It is so funny what we do to ourselves over winter. Buy all this awesome so we can wait another few months to play it.

I'm hiding from winter in Palm Springs for the next 3 months & was accepted as a volunteer walking scorer/standard bearer at the PGA AMEX tourney in La Quinta, Ca. It's a first time experience, picked up my matching swag & will be the first out at 8:40 am starting Thursday, Friday & Saturday working inside the ropes walking & watching the pro’s play & keeping score.  I got Sunday off and will be following the leaders around the Stadium course down 18 to finish.

 

As a volunteer, you get a lots of perks like a golf hat, golf shirt, wind breaker golf coat, AMEX pin, free parking, pass for Mrs, free cont. breakfast, free lunch & 1 free beer in the Happy Hour volunteer tent, and 50% off one round on any of the PGA West courses, 2023 expiry.

Enjoy the walks David.  I volunteered as a sign-boy inside the ropes at one of the LPGA events at Priddis many years ago.  It was great to see Ai Miyazato, Michelle Wie (even though she missed the cut), Katherine Hull-Kirk, and Natalie Gulbis, in the groups to which I was assigned.  Seeing high level golf up close is pretty amazing.

Last year I played on March 17 in Lethbridge. Hoping for the same this year!

 

There is a golf course in stavley. You leave $10 on the mailbox and you can go play. Astroturf greens. Saw a video of some guys playing last week lol

Some March golf would be great, I feel this will happen.  What will be even better is that there will be no lockdowns and such to interfere with things. It is going to be a great year. I will however take an april start with 50% less wind for the year 🙂

Get to golf future and practice those stinger tee shots and flighted wedges!
