Last week they had a course open in calgary on temp greens. 
 

supposed to get cold this week again though And snow incoming 

 

we will be going by mid March in the south end of be province though

Moved back to the Canada section now.

 

Nice, Mid-March sounds awesome…just around the corner!!

 

I’m in Ontario, and my first round last year was April 8th. Hopefully we’ll have an earlier Spring this year though. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

I think we had courses open the first week of April in the Edmonton area last year.

There are a few nice tracks out in the shuswap... Where do you plan to play   ?

I am one of a few in my area that likes to make the trek out to play Hyde mountain

Salmon arm 

usually go to the range at Hyde and hit balls, have played there a couple times.

I like salmon arm..u should  make the trek over to talking rock.. Just make sure you book well in advance

It’s getting close for sure, I’m starting to buy golf stuff I don’t need which is a sign golf season is almost here.

Awesome, my father is one of the pros out there and I'm buddies with a handful of members so I'm out there a fair bit. I did think about hoping in on the intermediate program there but decided on one more year out at Turner Valley, unfortunately I'm still stuck working till 5 most days in the summer so TV being 15-20 minutes closer was a big factor.

Good thing I got three rounds in Phoenix last week.

Wow, that should be awesome. I am planning a Cranbrook trip this summer, Wildstone and Shadow Mountain. Any thoughts on the courses?

Wildstone is my favourite 

 

shadow is VERY Tough. It brings you to your knees.

Prediction time! April 8th is when things start opening up around here. So only a month or so away. I don't mind a later start if there is good moisture going into the ground. Ill keep telling myself that for comfort. Its just so bad when you have two new sets of irons you are waiting to try.  I feel that perhaps we should make a support thread. On a side note, because I am particularly bored. A Ventus TR may be purchased today.

Just booked a trip there over May long with the wife, have only played Trickle and Bootleg back 10+ years ago when I was working at Greywolf which were both awesome. I have Wildstone and Trickle as the "must plays" based on the reviews of Wildstone and my previous experience with Trickle and the types of courses I know my wife likes. I've heard both ends of the spectrum on St Eugene so wondering if you can elaborate a bit more on your thoughts, are you meaning more in relation to the other courses in the area or just over hyped in general?

 

Also wondering if anyone has played the Cranbrook Golf Club as I was looking at that for a cheaper round in a 36 hole day and hadn't really found many reviews/opinions on it at all...

 

Just to add to the seasonal blues my phone decided to remind me of some photos from March 21 last year where there wasn't a speck of snow in our backyard, and photos from the following week of our kids at the driving range, I think here in Edmonton we're about a month away at least given the long range, fun times...
