Played today here in Palm Springs, my G400 3 wood died, collapsed the face with my TP5, guess I must have too much power after watching the Pro's at the AMEX tourney.  Just bought the G425 Max 14.5* to replace it, will have to swap out shafts when I get home the Tour Ad Di8-S is one of the best shafts I ever owned.

This happen to anyone here ?

Dang David you need to back it down a notch!  I've done it a couple of times over the years but never with a fairway wood.  I do remember cracking the face on a Ping driver (I think it was a G25 or G30) and I contacted Ping about it and they sent me a brand new one of the most current model no questions asked.

Just had to send back the broken one.

Might be worth giving them a call although I would think that PGA Superstore or one of the other Ping dealers in Palm Springs could reach out to them on your behalf.

I was planning on speaking to the guys at Pete Carlsons about it, but I don't have the shaft, it's at home. I don't even remember were I got it, I believe it was here in PS off WRX BST or Flee-Bay.  Regardless, it was time to upgrade, I sold a bunch of heads that I brought with me my PP account covered it.

I 'm planning on playing Fantasy Springs, miss you guys.

I should have known a resourceful guy like yourself would already have figured out a way to cover it!  Not really sure that it matters if you send it in with the shaft but who knows?  Ping's customer service is typically very good about such matters though.

I'm definitely envious and following your every post.  Really like Fantasy Springs.  One of the absolute best values in the valley I think.  Didn't you say the time you played with us it was your first time over there?

We had about the best fall/early winter around here that I can ever remember.  We played pretty steady up until New Year's Day and even played in shorts on New Year's Eve but then the bottom fell out and haven't been able to get out since.  Freezing rain followed by snow is about the worst thing in there is in life period but especially for a golf course although I'm sure you know plenty about that.

Now they're talking 60 on Monday followed by seven inches of snow Tuesday and Wednesday so we're likely done for another three or four weeks easy.

We definitely miss Palm Springs and seeing you guys but hopefully we'll live to play another day!

Please say hello to Patricia for us.

We are currently relocating to Calgary from out of province. We visited last week and bought a home at Artesia at Heritage Pointe. I am going to be joining a golf course. I was very interested in Priddis Greens but it's a half hour drive. I looked at the Glencoe and it's half an hour and pretty spendy. Of course there is Heritage Pointe to consider but it seems that it is public and you cannot walk. I visited Cottonwood and chatted with the Pro and Membership Co-Ordinator and got a good feel. In driving back I noticed Carnmoney. I also see Willow Park is about 20 minutes and there is also Darcy Ranch. Any help or feedback is much appreciated.

cottonwood — really good, have a buddy who plays there and likes it

heritage pointe- meh, it is ok. If you like to have a range I am not sure what is happening there with them building that top golf type thing there. They use to have the best practice facility in the south but that is all messed up now.

Priddis- my favourite course in the area. It is awesome, worth the 30 min drive hands down.

Thanks for the feedback. My only hesitation with PG is the drive. It looks like about 30 minutes but on easy roads. I just retired and played every day while I was working so expect it will be the same in Calgary. I checked out Cottonwood. It's hard to see the course in the winter but their galleries look good.

Cottonwood  is nice.

With COVId I heard it was kinda hard to get on to cottonwood.

Priddis you have 36 holes, both courses are always in unreal shape. Only thing about priddis is a shorter season. Closes  by thanksgiving weekend, prob open late April (due to snow). It is unreal though

the drive to priddis is fine with Stoney trail completed

Priddis is a very easy drive from Artesia and will only get quicker as the stoney extension gets cleaned up. 36 very strong holes, seems to be a good group of members, went to bandon in november with a dozen of them and had a great time. Very good practice facility, multiple launch monitors, indoor/outdoor practice garage on the end of the ranger, not the easiest walk there is but absolutely walkable and it seems like a good deal of the membership walks. I like cottonwood too, I feel like it might get a tad repetitive playing everyday but its a good solid golf course. Not a fan of carmoney as a golf course, friends with probably a half dozen members, I personally wouldn't join. Wouldn't join heritage either, grew up playing there, have only been back a couple times in the last 4 years or so, seems caught in between and would be worried about windmills commitment to the course vs commitment to $$. Like willow park, don't know enough about their membership to comment on that, would rather drive the extra 5 minutes to priddis. Canyon might be worth a look too, strong parkland course, just a better cottonwood or willow, probably a 20 minute drive.

Thanks for the info Kick it Close . I took the plunge and went all in on PG today. Bought a share and I'm now a full member. It's not like me to be so impulsive but I didn't want to miss out this year and I know from all the testimonials, reviews and feedback that I won't regret it. Let's play this summer.

Yeah, a mod must’ve moved it to Equipment by accident. Weird.
