Plus, it hasn't rained in 2 days so it might be the driest round of the year for me.

The MoCo liquor store started stocking Black Box Whiskey. It's about $25 for 1.75L, so like $11 a 5th. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking to sip it neat or on the rocks, but it's just fine in anything mixed. For me it compares to some things that are $10 more a 5th.

Daylight savings makes workday rounds hard. Gotta tee off by 12 to get it in right now. Plus possible flurries tomorrow. Yeesh. Still sounds much better than trying to shave a half a cent a mile out of my rate all day at work!

Good question. Bulleit 5ths are about $25 here, so better value than that for mixed drinks. I like Bulleit neat though, while the Black Box stuff I'd only drink neat if I were desperate. A Bulleit handle for $38 is more competitive. It's $13 more for the same size, but has more versatility since you can drink it neat or on the rocks.

 

Anyway, at $25 the Black Box stuff is worth trying. I doubt you'd end up tossing any of it, though you may not buy it again if you have another preference.

I was going to get some simulator time tomorrow but thankfully found out that we can go in and work. Just booked 2.5 weeks off in the spring so no vacation time to burn sitting at home on random December Wednesdays.

 

Mevo comes tomorrow though, looking forward to doing an indoor comparison on the trackman sometime soon.
