A couple months ago I thought I ordered enough grips to regrip my clubs. Got everything out and setup last night, ripped the first one off...noticed I dont think I have enough grips in my box. Had 10 Lamkin grips and 4 Z grips. Z Grips went on the D/3W and two hybrids, Lamkins on everything else. Time will tell how my OCD treats this abomination.

Its on my watch list. And at the rate that Netflix is cancelling Marvel shows, I will get to it sooner than I thought LOL.

First season was great. . .in my personal opinion, but also critically acclaimed, and well-awarded. Anyway, S2 dropped yesterday. It's off to a good start.

 

Selling points for Maisel. . .awesome sets, music, clothing. Funny. Sort of "movie-ish". . .like they'll do long single shots and you can just tell it has a lot of money in it.

 

But, really, the supporting cast is great. It's got Tony Shaloub and Kevin Pollack, but the funniest side character is Alex Borstein (she's the "he looka like a man" person from Mad TV and does Lois on Family Guy).

 

Glad you said that first part.... but you know it so that is half the battle

In five minutes of thinking I could only come up with one, the 8th hole at Laurel Hill. Long downhill par 3. Not even that great of a hole.

 

Literally the only hole I could think of.

The only two I could think of offhand are mediocre par 3s.

 

Would have to check out bluegolf to really think about other courses.

It's kind of a weird move. In my opinion, it's not the classic goat humping because I'm not really coming up through impact. I come up in the back swing, but I'm still keeping the hips back through impact. I come up with the head, then drop it back.

 

But, this is what I was working on in lessons in October. I have a few drills for it.

So the Mevo came in the mail last night and - maybe I didnt really watch the reviews that closely - but it cant be any bigger than a deck of cards. Pretty solidly built though, cant wait to use it. Made the mistake of ordering their roll of metallic dot stickers bc they dont mention the Mevo comes with a couple sheets of them.

I have what looks like a weird move with my driver. I hover the club anyway but it looks like I'm picking it up or twitching it - I'm not. I never saw this until I watched Peter Finch hit balls on his vlog and its really similar. But it works so I tried to stop watching clips.

 

I am considering making 2019 the year of never watching my swing on video.

I was thinking Westfields5, but in checking Blu Golf, it does have one. But Westfields1 doesn't. Another no-so-good hole.

It is like you are helping the ball up instead of allowing the bounce/loft of the club get the ball up.

 

Strike the match.. and allow your momentum to bring the club naturally not forced

Well, it works 9 times out of 10.

 

I'd like to make it work 19 times out of 20, for starters.

 

Then, 29 out of 30.

 

Then, 39 out of 40. . .

 

I'll give it a few years.

Of the three courses I regularly play, Falls Road, Needwood and Northwest, only Falls Road #12 has no bunker. Can't say I love that hole though. It's long and up hill.

Strongly recommend but as you said - same with Trackman. When I went to Pinecrest last week, they had the dots in their simulator room for people to use if you brought your own shag bag like I did.

To answer Fabb's OQ : #3 at Waverly is a very good hole. Need to play some VERY different and good shots to get close to different pin locations on the approach. Interesting green complex without bunkering (due in part to the shaved hill right of the green). That's a very good golf hole, and sort of picturesque. The tee shot offers lots of choices; it rewards good angles and proximity to the green (which means proximity to the hazard). Bold shots find flatter lies and are closer to the green. In addition, there is a hero shot option that few except the longest hitters can pull off.

 

I've played it from the red tees and it's a good hole from those tees, also.
