Anyone have the Garmin G10 or the Bushnell Ghost (or the new one, the Phantom)?

 

I got the G10 at our Member Guest a couple years ago. Its a good unit for what it is. Personally I like the watch for FMB yardages so I gave it to my brother. But it was very capable for the cost IMO.

Yeah he had it clipped on the outside of his bag. Seems to work well - I think its actually got a decent amount of "other" functions but he doesnt use them.

These are the handheld GPS devices that don't give much more than front/back/middle and go for about 100 bucks.

 

Our "bonus" Christmas Present, let's say, each year is a $50 gift card for Amazon, and I thought I might pick one of those up. The Garmin seems to have a lot more going on. I still have my sky-caddie at home, but I let my membership lapse and I don't get enough utility out of it to spend $40 a year on membership or whatever it is these days.

 

I've got the G10. Like it very much.

 

Good on new golf courses as it gives distances to hazards, some of which you may not know are there.

I don’t know what Lovesac sells now. But like 7 years ago I bought a Lovesac off of eBay that was a 7.5 ft long bean bag chair that was filled with shredded carpet padding. That was my favorite piece of furniture ever. I believe the seller was called SacDaddy. Still regret giving that away when we moved.

I used a G10 all year because I didn't like the size of the watch version.

 

Love it. Really came in handy playing unfamiliar courses and checking my club choice for front/back yardage. I never used the shot measurement or score keeping functions, but clipped to my belt I rarely felt a need to pull out the rangefinder.

 

I will be using mine more when I carry. Pulling the laser to reduce weight every bit I can.

I use the Grint with T-Mobile. It STINKS. Imagine playing 80 times a year and hitting the hone into yardage button on the Grint 12 times a round. I’m drooling over the bushnell laser with the gps built in.

Losing posture in backswing. Still needs work. Regardless, I was stiffing wedges yesterday and I've been hitting the ball well.

 

Anyone watch Marvelous Mrs. Maisel?

 

First season was great. . .in my personal opinion, but also critically acclaimed, and well-awarded. Anyway, S2 dropped yesterday. It's off to a good start.

 

Selling points for Maisel. . .awesome sets, music, clothing. Funny. Sort of "movie-ish". . .like they'll do long single shots and you can just tell it has a lot of money in it.

 

But, really, the supporting cast is great. It's got Tony Shaloub and Kevin Pollack, but the funniest side character is Alex Borstein (she's the "he looka like a man" person from Mad TV and does Lois on Family Guy).
