The Sun is actually starting to set a few minutes later. It was at like 4:43 a couple weeks back and now it's 4:45. So we've got that going for us.

I've got a little man cold, but still got in my exercise last night. I got back on the wagon last week. Gonna really take advantage of putting the sticks down this month, to get back into good habits. What type of exercise, you ask?

 

 

Since I think I can get 5mph without exercising, and you dingii think exercising will be more productive for adding speed, this probably puts me at about +15mph next season. I'll have to go shopping in PQ's bin of cast aside rebar-like driver shafts.

So I had a couple of interesting finds last night during some Trackman time.

 

1 - the new Duo Professional ball, number for number, was almost identical to the TM balls I had in my shag bag. If I put the numberset up in a spreadsheet without labels, you couldnt tell the difference. In fact, the Duo had more spin on a hard, partial wedge shot than the TM balls. Now it was only @ 10 shots each over three clubs - so take that for what its worth - but the performance was fantastic. Definitely will be worth further testing and play over the winter. Love the matte yellow.

 

2 - I have been having trouble the last month or so with consistancy in my iron strikes and just could not figure out why. Looked at my stance in a window reflection last night and my hands/grip has gotten crazy low - almost Furyk like in how close it was to my body - and it was causing the toe of the club to be way off the ground. Sort of did the opposite/exagerated pulling my hands up - felt like Bryson but did not look that bad...mostly - and it was night and day. Tried it with the driver too and it was great. I am at least 96% certain this is one of those temporary things that worked once and will never work again but it is at least something I will keep an eye on.

 

3 - Its winter so I am fine with saying this - City was 10000% wrong in where he parked. /story

I don't think I ever said I wasn't.

 

The point of the story was the absurdity of trying to retrieve the car; some people found the details amusing.

 

I've told a couple other people that story. Some people are just locked in on the notion that "bay door implies not public parking". That's not a connection I have hard-wired. Well, now I do, hopefully.

It was also "information overload" for me.

 

It was the first time I'd ever been there. I turned that corner. They have Christmas lights up. There were cars in both directions. I had a guy behind me. I was worried about getting into some wrong lane and being forced out. I was late getting to see my brother. It was a stressful drive. I can't say I didn't have a pang of "is this right?", but I wasn't in a good head-space to make the right decision.
