100% milled? Or forged and finishing touches milled??

Tiger and Tommy's both say Milled Grind. Have to assume it's just the sole and the channel in the back that's milled.

My gues was spot on. LE or a full blown release?

I called TM today. And was told May-June release. Final price hasn’t been announced yet but expect 2k plus. And this is a watered down version of what TW and Fleetwood currently play. These will not be forged with only the sole and channel on the back being milked as stated above.. these clubs will be 100% milled

Driver: Paradym Velocore
Woods: 3W Paradym trip diamond Velocore , 5W Paradym Velocore
Irons: ZX7 MKII 4-P ACCRA 115
Wedges: ARTISAN 52,56,60 (yes I have a player number)
Putter: ARTISAN 0217
Ball: TP5x

I’m still going to pull the trigger on a set. I’m glad TM listened and delivered.

Again, they can't just take a good thing and leave it alone. Too hard to just forge the identical club head and send it to the the store.

"Watered down"= W E A K ($1,500 Max)

(Definitely not worth $2K plus, go get a Forged iron with National Custom for around the same price and a hell lot more value)

I’m confused. Are we saying fully milled cast ? Forged and milled grind ? Or cast and milled grind ? Or forged and fully milled ? Who the heck is on first ???

Oh brother! That’s funny. You were reading my mind.

So many people don’t even understand the different terminology and the variety of potential processes involved. The club could easily be a forged head that is finished via milling. If it’s a cast head that’s finished via milling I can’t imagine having the giant testicles needed to try and offer that Schite for $2000. All speculation at this point.

Hopefully no ones head explodes reading this thread.

Don’t shoot the messenger.. lol I’m simply passing the info I got from “josh” (TM CSR REP) he said 100% milled head. Obviously MT won’t be partaking in a retail TM product.. so to be clear those of you hoping to have something from Artisan stamped with TM that is not what you are getting..

Additionally josh said” We have not been given a spec sheet on them yet. I’m only delaying why I’ve been told in meetings.” So like mentioned above; we are all speculating at this point..

I only ask because the geek in me loved the truly fully milled apex mb that Rory hit with callaway before going to TM.

You’re missing my point.

A club can be “100% milled” out of a cast unfinished head or a forged unfinished head. The rep doesn’t really know what he’s talking about.

...and that would not be the first or the last time. I find quite often that when I call a CS rep They actually know shockingly little about golf clubs in general. It’s actually almost terrifying.

If it is 100% milled out of a forged unfinished head, why on earth would they need to water it down any? Interest deflating...

Yes, there absolutely nothing wrong with using precise computer milling to finish a rough forging. Does anyone have a problem with Scotty milling a forged block of German stainless steel into a putter? Of course not. There is nothing inherently wrong with milling.

I’m guessing if the terminology used is “it’s a watered down version” of Tigers and Fleetwoods, then what they mean is they are using a cast head and finishing the shaping and detail work using computer milling.

If they try and charge $2000 for a cast head finished by milling, that is going to turn off nearly every serious club Ho. I can’t believe many on this thread would go for that.

Forged and milled grind.

Hopefully not the same forging with the 730s. They didn’t feel good to me at all. If they are limited release, wonder how many sets.

I wonder if you’ll only be able to get them 3-pw or if you’ll be able to custom order them. I’d give them a shot 7-pw but my game isn’t close to good enough anymore to play blade long irons
