I think I've gotten to the point where I pretty much just tune Faldo out. I feel like he would talk about someone hitting a 1 yard fade a lot, and "just brushing" in a putt, and I eventually just kind of hear him as only background noise now. Not that he's bad, I just don't know that he's good either.

He's good so was Miller. Guys who aren't sucking up to the pros give the best commentary (as long as it's not purposely controversial like chamblee). Lanny wadkins was best ever and they tossed him for mumbler bumbler faldo

Like anything else....that's just an opinion. I disagree. I'm not a Faldo hater btw. In fact the only announcer that I truly despise is McCord. I can listen to most all of them and be content. The number of commercials is the biggest problem imo when viewing most golf events.

If announcers really talked about the stuff that the elite of the game are thinking about (certain positions in the swing, trackman numbers, advanced Strategy( why the distance to the front of the green is arguably just as important as the position to the pin while the distance to the back is less important), etc... it would be incredibly confusing and frustrating for the 20 handicaps watching at home
