PXG 0211 irons - what do you think?

Thanks. I think I need to demo these clubs. Like Parson's has said from day one and its resonated with me, every year club manufacturers come out with new stuff and there is nothing significantly different from one model year to the next. Other than maybe cosmetics. I'm tired of chasing unicorns here. Need to demo. Thanks!

I wasn’t a huge PXG fan, at first. I didn’t like the carnival-barker, Red Bull-induced attitude of Bob, either. However, I fancy myself to be open minded and did some research on him and the company. I’m not drinking the Kool-Aide, per se, but do have a new appreciation that wasn’t there before.

As far as the irons are concerned, the results speak for themselves. My best shots with the 0211 are measurably better and the the worst aren’t penalized nearly as much. I, literally, shot a personal best 79 a month ago and still changed irons. That’s not me, that’s a testament to the performance of these irons. I played my Wilson V4’s for two years and PING G15’s for 5-7 before that. Again, I had zero intentions of switching irons. They blew me away.

I highly recommend that people just go hit them at a free fitting and see what happens. For me, I had absolutely no intention of buying irons when I walked in to Club Champion... They were that good, however.

Not too many of these. But here’s a pic of my g400 7 iron which compared to many GIs has a decent size and top line, against the 0211. 0211 very slimmer, if that’s a word. gqahfg2m2czg.jpeg

Thanks, that is very helpful. It may be that the MMT shafts have heavier tips to offer better head feel.

That is what I was thinking. I believe that the Metal Mesh Technology is in the tip section. That might increase weight, slightly, and affect feel. So far, the launch data is fantastic and the feel indoors is great. Maiden voyage this weekend on turf.

I just logged in, my father is a veteran, and you are correct. If I'm not mistaken, the previous price for the 0211 was $95/club? It is up to $175 now. I really hope that isn't do to so many sets being flipped. That was a very cool program and hopefully it'll return at the lower price points for those that have earned it.

Also..the elevate 95 shafts are actually around 102 After cutting. The head weights are fairly light and there were no tip weights

Yes, hopefully. The going rate was $115 per club until yesterday.

Looks like they also increased the base price to $225. Also, the "free" driver isn't offered anymore.

I have had a set of 0211s with the Elevate Tour shafts and have now spent a good amount of range time and put in a few round with them. My prior gamers are JPX 900 Forged with PX 5.5 shafts. Quick observations: The 0211s seem about 1/2 club short. That said on the course, they launch high and do seem to hold greens really well. I have not hit them with a launch monitor so I don't have data to back this up. But they're consistent at least. Another positive - and some may think this is blasphemy - the 0211s have a softer sound and feel at impact than the JPX 900 Forged. Seriously. The look at address is fine and I don't think they're overly offset. The soles are noticeably wide, for what it's worth. I have noticed that I can turn these over much easier than the JPX 900s, and in some cases, I overcook them. But in all they're very easy to hit, launch high, land softly and I haven't noticed any hot spot fliers yet.

Not in this thread... Unless I’m forgetting something it seems like the consensus is that the 0211’s are a great iron.

Awesome clubs no doubt , I was just referring to most of the comments in general on other forums. I was lucky enough to get my 0311 XF irons with Accra graphite for $125 per club through the heroes program. They now have on the Hero’s program buy any 6 0211 clubs for $125 each and receive a free Gen 1 driver. Heck of a deal.

You have to be military, firefighter ,paramedic , etc and register under the verify me and upload your ID showing proof that you are one of the above to get the Hero’s pricing. This was an email deal that I received on 8/25 but I bought a set of 0311 XFs 4 months ago, don’t know if that’s why I specifically got the email. I can follow up today and see what’s up.

No need. That deal is dead. Now the Hero price is $175/Club. You can buy a Gen 1 driver or putter at a substantial discount $125(?) with any other club purchase. My screenshot is the Hero pricing.

Thats funny now the "Heroes" pricing is $175? And Gen1 driver is $195? Ummm OK. Pretty drastic difference of a deal from the $105 an iron and free driver. Mustve figured out they were losing money offering a Handcrafted Evenflow shaft. Wouldve still offered the free driver just make with a cheapo shaft. Man PXG changes pricing as much as most of us switch clubs. Ebay is flooded with 0211s right now.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the deal 6 or more irons at $95 each, free driver and $95 putter? I’m pretty sure that is what seller said. Even selling me the 5-PW irons at $550, virtually new, he could still move the driver and putter for a pretty nice flip. More power to them. They’re vets, they’ve earned it. Everyone wins.

I’ve never seen it below $105 with free driver and for $95 you can get a gen 1 putter. I check almost daily.
