Clubs4Cash.net - Bad Dealer

I sent Clubs4 cash 10 clubs - set of 7 Callaway irons, Cobra driver, TM RBZ Fairway woods - I graded all as good and fair condition with headcovers - on-line offer was $200. He came back saying he would only pay $140. When I asked him why he wouldn't honor the rates on his website, he responded " Any rates given are "estimates" until the items are received. I received them and you declined the offer. Unlike PGA you will find they will make adjustments and pay you what they're worth instead of wasting time bickering. You don't get an opportunity to complain." Just rude .

As an example, my Cobra Fly-Z driver was always kept in headcover, had usual scratches on sole and face from use but not chits, dents, skymarks whatsoever, newish grip, headcover and wrench. - His site said $43 for good, $37 for fair. He only offered me $25 when he had clubs in hand. I had to pay $15 to get my clubs back.

Buyer beware of the bait and switch. Sending them to Rock Bottom Golf, expecting to do way better!

Yup - same experience with them. They got my clubs and then lowballed me. I had them returned. Wont use them again.

Can also vouch for proclubs. They typically pay via paypal the day after receiving the clubs.

I've used ProClubs multiple times. Never had an issue. They are great. The one downside is they do not offer any free/discounted shipping like some places. Upside is that at times their trade in values can be better than other places. Even after paying the shipping. Another plus is that they do not lower the trade in value of left hand clubs like some other well known places do.

Had a similar situation with them but it was through RBG who outsourced to Cash4clubs. Sent in 7 rogue hybrids at $72 each. They came back and offered $50 and said the condition was not good (which was not true). I looked at their website and they were offering $47 now for them. Obviously buyers remorse. I have done thousands with them and this was the first time this has happened. Have even sent in ones I would expect to get graded lowered but didn’t. I told them just to ship them back. They did but didn’t put any packaging to protect them whatsoever. The crowns were all beat up and scratched all over. Sent an email and they ended up buying them at the original amount. That would be the only good thing about them, they at least fixed their mess they created. I’ve been using other dealers for a while and probably will stay away. I’ve used proclaims before and they twice balked after they received items so I stay away from them as well.

  • 2 years later...

I sent an older set of Ping Irons into Clubs4Cash.Net. and  Received an "Adjusted" notification as well. They adjusted the price because I submitted the order as a 8pc. set.  I sent a 7pc. set (4-P) honest mistake on my part.   I appreciated getting the Adjusted notice and given the opportunity to Accept or Decline the new offer.   Other companies like GolfStix, PGA Value guide and 2nd Swing will just change your values without notice and send you a check.  You don't even realize the price has changed until it's too late.   I also appreciate Clubs4Cash giving me free shipping labels.  2nd Swing deducts for shipping once they have your clubs so you end up paying for this.

I know the owner personally and would vouch for him any day. He is a good guy and has been in business for a long time. I know stuff happens with customers as it does in any business in dealing with the public. But I wouldn't hesitate to vouch for him any day he's a good guy.

Would you be willing to ask him about some of the posts mentioned above? Mostly about the bait and switch trade value?  That’s a really annoying business practice and a waste of everybody’s time.

About the bait and switch thing. As with all things there are always two sides and from what I can tell none of that went on. When the clubs were received they were not in as good shape as described originally and that is where the lower price came from.  Pretty much one of those he said he said type situations that happens in retail. Not trying to get into a peeing contest as I've been on here for years and I've known him for years and I would vouch for him and the way he has runs his business any day without hesitation.
