Thank you for your observations. From what I've read /experienced so far, the SIM seems to be a little unpredictable. Every now and then you'll get a freak ball (good and bad). Personally, I went with the regular Mav. It gave me the most consistent spin and ball speed numbers.

Good stuff. Swingweight on sim feels.lighter because CoG is back. But you should check SW anyway. You're a low launch guy using a low launch shaft in that head. How were SIM strikes?

Surprised at your mavrik results. If not for the lefts, that driver would be in my bag.

I hit several balls with speed zone and saw what I usually saw, too much spin (yeah, had heavy weight forward).

EF triple diamond is a very good head. Love that CoG can be moved. Callaway needs to put some toe forgiveness in their next release for them to be a player with me.

Great lines this year from the big dogs. Hopefully SIM is what I'll play for a few years like 16 M2.

strikes felt good. I feel I am a bit of an anomaly swing wise. I swing hard but launch low. I have tried shafts designed for more launch and they just get wild and seem to go left on me. So rather than use a low loft head and high launch shaft, I switch it. It seems to work better for me that way.

 

The f9 spun a lot for me, I do not see that in the speedzone. Much better spin numbers.

Great update. Not in the market for a driver but I’m looking forward to the 110 SS update as that’s closer to my speed.

You are a bad*ss sir. Great numbers. I have to say, I saw some very strange ball flights out of the SIM at Sentry. Some weird low lefts that DJ and Rahm looked really perplexed by. I had an F9 last year and though we got along well at the start, my swing changed a bit and a fitting at the end of the season had the TS3 blow it out of the water. The feel off the F9 was addicting though. As you said, it feels like the ball is leaving very quickly. It spun a lot though and I had problems with blocks, which was a complaint I heard from a couple of pros as well.

Your driver seems just about perfect and unless you changed for the sake of changing, I think it would be hard to match that performance.

Most OEM 2019 and 2020 drivers are pretty awesome. I'm absolutely in love with my TS3 and had great performance from many others I tried. I'll be testing out the new SZ and potentially a SIM as well, but my TS3 is great and I don't have much desire to switch.

It was strange. I have absolutely loved hitting the sim but for some reason as I was collecting the data I struggled.

Here is another individual shot with the sim. Still low launching but very playable. This is the first tm driver in years I have liked.

I am wondering though if the diamana limited shaft with it being a bit more mid launch wouldn’t be better for me.

Your comment about the diamana and the Sim are spot on. Getting a specific shaft, length, and swing weight are key to a good fitting these days. TXG mentioned this in a video last year.

That shaft profile stuff makes sense. Shafts ate designed for how someone delivers the club...not so much a match up of "I launch low so need low launch shaft" as much as "I hold the angle late through impact and have a swing that delivers the club better with a low launch profile shaft".

I hope SIM isn't erratic. It was good for me on launch monitors...real world will soon tell. If only TM would hurry up...

hit the SIm and loved the feel and look of it. Really leaning that way right now.

Not a fan of the look of the callaway (never seem to hit calluses drivers well) and not a fan of the cobra either really.

definitely going to do a fitting with the SIM here soon.

Interesting about the Mavrik feeling the heaviest. I had the opposite experience. Tested the Mavrik and my Flash SZ and the Mavrik head felt like a feather on the end of my shaft. Personally, I prefer the sound from the Mavrik over the SIM and the Flash SZ. Still hoping to try a Mavrik SZ, just rare to find in LH and 9 degree.
