Ventus Red

I’ve had the VENTUS Red for 2 years now in the driver although I will change to the Ventus TR once the Callaway head I have on order arrives just to fool around with a different profile.  The major observation is stability.  It remains untipped in both 60g and 70g and refuses to snaphook. I contrast this with the original Hzrdus Red and Matrix Red Tie which were left machines unless you fooled around with tipping.  I can swing out of my shoes at about 115 peak and it will not go left and it is UNTIPPED.  No need to Ventus Purple here.

I think you would be happy with the Ventus red. I just put one in my TSi3 9 degree head and it beat out the Smoke RDX that came with it. I actually had decent results with the smoke but the Ventus red just flat out beat it. I had a Ventus blue I was going to put in but it is probably heading for the 3 wood now.  I would not compare it to HZRDUS black at all. For reference SS is 110-112 and can get it to 115 on good days.

What flex was the red you use?

Need some assistance, apologies if this is in here somewhere. Currently in a Sim2 w/ AD IZ 6S. About to pull the trigger on a Ventus to try in a G425 Max and don't know which to get. I have a VERY aggressive tempo so my miss is a hook (working on it). 110 speed, attack angle is average but could use some more carry. My priority is a profile to handle the hook a little better (along with some very obvious swing adjustments) with a tad more height as less of a priority. I am thinking Red 6X, Blue 6X or Black 6S. Black might be a little too low for my angle. HELP!!!

IZ is not like any of the Velocore shafts.  IZ is very soft in the middle with a softer tip than any of the Velocore shafts, IMO.

IZ responds well to smooth tempo type swings.  Velocore can take whatever you throw at it.

I did not get along with any of the Velocore shafts.

I put a Ventus Red 6R unzipped in my 4 wood (which I play -4 grams head weight), and I really enjoy it. My driver swing speed is right around 96 mph.  I have a somewhat quick transition, and typically do well with stiffer handle shafts.  I also have an Diamana S+ in my Hybrid which is a stiff and assumedly factory tipped, and that also works well for me. I am looking at a shaft for a 7 wood.  I'd like to bridge the gap on shaft weights between 4 wood and hybrid, so I was thinking an untipped Ventus Red 7S.  It should give me the weight I am looking for, but keeping the flex at around a regular like the 4 wood, since Fuji recommends a 1" tip on a 7 wood due to head weight. Anyone think that'd be a good option? Other suggestions? It's going into a TSi2 21* head.

How do you think the red compared to something like the diamana blue line (bf specifically)?

The Red launches higher with similar spin compared to the TB and BF for me.  The TB and BF feel like they have more kick.  I think the Red is a bit more anti-left for me.  Like all three and have played all of them for extended periods.

I swing in the 112-114 range.  Play all three in the 6x versions.
