Sorry! i know this is all old news. I am interested in trying triple track..but honestly am scared a little by the CS quality reputation.

Just want to confirm youre saying that the 2019 CSx TT was a different ball than the 2018 CSx and they made compression higher by 7%, which would roughly make it a 107 compression ball?

Thank you!

Played a few more rounds with the 2020 CS and still very impressed. Some on-course observations.

BTW, it normally takes me a half dozen or more rounds to adapt to a new ball, but it only took a couple rounds to get into the new CS.

The feel off the driver is soft but still maintains feel. Distance is very good. I'd say perhaps the longest of any ball that I've played recently. Definitely not my swing.Irons are consistent and the feel off the club is excellent. Distance and spin are tour level. Chipping - reliable and consistent spin performance. Feel off the wedges is excellent. Putting - really like the feel off the putter. Not too soft and not too firm. Durability has been excellent.

Same thing I have found. Distance is fantastic! In all rounds previous using the same driver and the 2nd gen CS and ERC Soft my typical drive (according to Game Golf) was about 220 yards. As of today, again per Game Golf, it is 239 yards. I do find it soft feeling off the driver but firmer than 2nd gen CS and ERC.I also find that the irons are consistent and the feel off the club is excellent. Distance and spin, I agree, are tour level.Chipping - reliable and consistent spin performance though not as much spin as I would have expected but that has a lot to do with how I play those shots. Feel off the wedges is excellent.I agree with the Putting - really like the feel off the putter. Not too soft and not too firm.Durability has been excellent, even better than expected. Not mentioned, I do find this ball to be a high launch and carry ball, more so than the 2nd gen CS but not as much as the ERC - somewhere in between.

I too have been a staunch CS Truvis guy going back to 2016 when I did my own ball testing. It's the only ball I've played now for 3 straight years.

I picked up a new dozen for my round on Saturday...and I'm not sure about them right now. They definitely feel harder off the putter than the 2019 Red White & Blue pattern, which I almost always played. What is making me nervous I hit a new Pro V1 with the driver from my buddy and it felt really good and went a little further than my CS. It also felt good off my new Scotty putter face too. I've decided to go and pick up a 3 pack of Pro V1's and a 3 pack of Bridgestone's BXS this week and compare them. I know the CS is a 4 piece ball, and my main ball before the switch was Pro V1x, but I really liked how that Pro V1 felt. I've got a crazy feeling I'm going to make a switch. But I'll also say, when I did my own testing back in 2016, I didn't think I'd go from the Pro V1x to the Chrome Soft. So maybe it will still prove itself out. But for the first time in a long time, something just doesn't feel right about the ball right now.

5W: Mavrik SZ - Tour AD XC 8S
3H: Titleist 816 H2 - Speeder 8.8X
Irons (4-P): Mizuno MP-20 MMC - KBS $ X
Wedges (50,54,58): Mizuno T20 Raw - KBS $ X
Putter: Seemore Nashville
Ball: 2021 Pro V1

I was until about 3 weeks ago. Tried the CS 2020 and the first round was just hitting it a few times alongside the Z Star. Didn't really see a lot of difference, but then I decided to play it for a full round and was really impressed with the distance and feel. Decided to keep it in the bag for a while and see how it goes... so far, after about 10 rounds, it's feeling pretty good.

a lot of subjectiveness here but the mind game is everything when playing clubs and balls....when u played it alongside the zstar, it was not anything special? it seems your mind got used to it and started looking for all the positives.....what was better about the distances? We always here about this sort of thing but in all sorts of testing, most balls are within 9-15 feet of each other....not enough to really make a difference......i loved the 2018 CS until i read that darn report and my mind said NOPE......so i switched to TP5 which has been great but i do miss the CS. Shot some of my best rounds in 2018 with that ball......not sure why. I just liked it

After picking up a sleeve of the Pro V1 and the BXS and comparing them to the 2020 CS, I'm sticking with the CS. For one, and probably most important, the feel can't be beat for me. I think I also took for granted how much I love the truvis pattern. There is nothing wrong with the Pro V or BXS, and if they ever stopped making the CS I'd could play either one. I'm glad I went out and did this though because it erased any doubt I had. I suppose when the CSX comes out, maybe I'll grab a sleeve of those and see how those compare as well.

I'll say that while it's anecdotal, the 2020 Chromesoft X performed great yesterday and was similar in feel to the Titleist ProV1 Left Dash. Perhaps slightly firmer, but easy to control and flight. Long, maybe higher spinning, can't tell. Getting on a LM tomorrow to determine how numbers compare to my gamer (Left Dash). I'll report my findings.

@GoGoErky .. I did a very exhaustive ball testing back in 2016. I was an avid Pro V1x guy and just out of curiosity, wanted to test all the other high end balls I could get a sleeve of off the internet - Pro V1, Pro V1x, the original Kirkland 4 piece, TP5, TP5x, Z Star, Z Star XV, BX, BXS, and someone at a local golf store suggested the Chrome Soft. This can't be stated enough - every swing is different. Everyone interprets 'feel' and 'sound' differently. This is all based on my feels, my hearing, my perception. Back then, in 2016, I instantly eliminated the Srixon's. They both felt as hard as a top flight. Just didn't like them. Quite honestly, I couldn't tell much of a difference between the Pro V1, the TP5, and the BXS. The Kirkland, TP5x, and Pro V1x were all 'harder' and 'clickier' sounding, but they were also a little longer, I'd say half a club, to the others...except the Chrome Soft. For whatever reason, for me, that ball was just as long as the others and I couldn't get over the feel and control off the putter and wedges.
Fast forward to this past week and I had purchased a new box of the 2020 Chrome Softs and after one round, I wasn't sure I liked them. They were harder than the last version so I started doubting this was the ball for me for some reason. Went out and bought those sleeves, did my on course comparison, and I was wrong. It's still softer than all the others and still performs for me the way I expect it to. It checked better, rolled smoother, and flew further off the driver. Not much more to add. The only thing that would be interesting, although I doubt it would change anything for me, is to somehow see numbers on a trackman with each ball. Golf Galaxy has one, as does 2nd Swing here locally, and I'm sure I could make it happen, but my motivation to go out of my way and do so is low. This helped me feel secure in knowing I'm playing the right ball for me.
