Just took delivery of mine in mid January. I was quoted 8-10 weeks. From the time I sent my deposit to the day received the putter was 8 weeks and a couple days. 
 

If you don’t get back from him by the end of the week, shoot him a message on Instagram. He’s very responsive.

Mine was 9 weeks and I just received it 10 days ago. He quoted me 8-10 weeks when I ordered it. I gave him all my specs for a build sheet and had great communication and then I didn’t talk to him for about 6 weeks. Then he texts and said I’m designing your putter. It was non stop communication for 3 days and it was in a box and shipped. Great communication from him and accurate quote times

Mine has been 8 weeks since we first talked and I sent him the deposit. He texted me last week and said he was getting started. Since then he has sent me numerous screen shots with artwork and milling options. Communication has been outstanding!

How it should be for any type of online business and especially if dealing for the first time.  Proactive updates and communication is key.

This is the exact experience I had. Mine was accelerated, because I caught him during a slower period.
 

Josey really lets you in on the process and you get an entire experience for the money. It’s not just about the putter. It truly is more of an experience than most other makers. The only other maker I personally dealt with that matched Josey’s experience was Lamont…albeit in a more “old school” way.

I get to go pick mine up today! Josey has made this incredibly fun! He has successfully combined my love of bird hunting with my new putter… hopefully that dog will hunt!

I really love this guy's work. A few years back I almost pulled the trigger. Since then, his pricing has sorta out him out of my budget, but koodos to him. That's a real sign of success.

After going through the process with him and seeing the care and attention he gives to every putter, the price seems like a bargain. I put mine in play today and was really impressed by the feel and sound. I also put the ball in the hole well today so that helped!!!
 

my buddy who is a good stick rolled it once and said no more as he commented on the feel and sound. He said one more stroke and he would be next on Josey’s list! LOL

Price is, of course, subjective. One could argue the cost of any custom is too expensive. The word bargain just doesn't exist in the custom world...most people think an OTR scotty is expensive lol. The WRX community are a different breed.

Do not have mine in hand yet but this one is on its way to me today. Amazing process with Josey. I haven’t even received my first with him and I’m already designing a second… guy is crazy talented and communication is stellar. Every time I asked for something he replied “cool”. Never said no. Highly recommend!

I don't know if this is a review but I could say its a review of his communication/service?

I finally pulled the trigger recently and gave him my down payment... mainly because Josey is very accommodating

and very open to design suggestions/inputs which will make the putter "more" custom.

Of course, His work looks great too!  From what I've seen here and on Instagram, Nice!

 

Its a 10-12 week wait now. 

 

Now, I need suggestions on the best face milling lol

I think I want something that I feel I can control... maybe that is a softer feel? 

I'm kind of a feel/maybe a little handsy putter and not so mechanical.

Sometimes if I think I need to release the toe more or hold it, I do it.

Talk to Josey about what you are thinking and he can mill the face deeper or more shallow in terms of your preference. The 303 he used on mine feels great. Nice and soft but still firm enough to provide solid feedback. You can also come up with a custom pattern to make it unique

The face milling I got on my Hudson Wide posted at the very beginning of this thread is really nice; perfect blend of “softer” feel with control. If I did it again, though, I would have had him do a custom face milling design, since he can just program the machine to do it. I didn’t really understand just how “custom” he could actually go with his software and putters until I saw more examples later.

Since I was going with a hunting theme, I had him create a checkered pattern like on a shotgun stock. Like previously mentioned he said cool, designed it on the computer and sent me pictures for approval.

I really wanted one of the cool face milling patterns that he does, but ultimately went with a smooth face. Looking back on it, I can’t believe I considered anything but a smooth face.

Thanks! Josey knows how to take a good picture. I still haven't snapped a nice shot of mine as I'd like to get it outdoors to use natural light, but Pennsylvania has a mind of its own with weather. 

 

 

Since I've received my putter mid January, I've been rolling putts indoors 3 or 4 nights a week. I'll get the specs out of the way first and go in to a little detail on my takeaways from my indoor putting. 

Head shape: My Jewel

Head weight: 345g

Material: Carbon steel

Shaft: BGT Stability Blackout

Grip: Best Grips Microperf Pistol

L/L/L: 34.25"eog/70°/3.5°

 

The first thing I noticed in hand was the feedback you get from the putter. Centered strikes provide a pleasant tock, while off-center strikes vibrate slightly and sound a little higher pitched and clicky. Feel wise it is exactly what I wanted. From address it sets up nicely and frames the ball perfectly. I opted for no alignment markings as I find that works best for me. I am dying to get this out on grass as the longest putt I've rolled with it is 10' and it is great. 

 

From the first message to present day, Josey was great with communication and super accommodating. We bounced ideas around and he was quick with the renderings once my number was called. From the start this was a special build for me. I wanted something that kept the memories I cherished most of my Grandmothers close. Their favorite flowers adorn the sole. Some of their favorite things are engraved in the cavity. I'll never pick this one up and not have all the great memories come rushing back to me. This is my first build with him but definitely not my last. I'll try to snap some pictures in decent lighting showing the putter from address, but for now I'll leave some pictures from Josey.

I really like how your putter turned out and would definitely use this as a template if/when I make one with Josey. Mainly the carbon head, smooth face and two tone finish, the rest will be more my style obviously. 

 

But as much as Josey has super nice face milling especially the circular milling he's done recently there is just something about a smooth face milling that makes putting so much more enjoyable.

Like some milled faces look really cool and I'm sure many feel awesome as well but my lag putting with a smooth face or very light milling is so much better.
