Josey's work continues to get better and better. Wanted a short Cam Smith neck and he delivered as advertised. His welding ability is some of the best in the business.

 

I can't recommend him enough.

That's a very nicely done face mill.  The flow from the heel around the Timascus (?) insert takes time and know-how.

 

Was a timascus pressed top sightline not considered?

Nah didnt consider a timascus sightline thought it could possibly throw the aim off.

Josey is the real deal... he makes the putter you want for a great price.  Tyson should really take a note from his play book.

 

When i created my Cam Smith homage with him, i had him adjust the head shape to be more aligned with the 009-M.  I guess he liked it because every one hes produced after mine has been the new shape (cavity, shoulders and neck area).

That's why the Jewel is looking nicer now. Seems like a lot of his shapes have been refined as time goes on which is good. Not saying anything was bad before but always nice to see improvement.

yep!  the only thing that he didnt change was the overall thickness from face to bumper, his jewel is def wider than a 009, which threw me off a bit.

Which is fair I don't mind that I actually prefer a shape a touch wider like that, all I'd do on mine is just soften the bumpers a bit and maybe roll the top and would be perfect shape for me.

God damn I gotta stay out of this thread. Lost my headcover so picked up another one from Josey the other day. Thinking about putting another deposit down and designing another putter from scratch. Probably similar to what I have but wider, longer, with Tuna/Scotty style milling. Been toying with ideas of hiding the serial number cleverly somewhere on the putter, potentially heel side.

Trust me you will not be disappointed in doing so. I loved my first build with Josey and I’m only a few weeks away from getting my text to start my second. He runs a first class operation…proof is in his work and also the endless positive experiences people have with him. Can’t wait to see your finished putter.

Its Josey's take and homage (?) to the Bullseye.  I don't have this shape in my small collection so when I saw he did this first for a mate of his, I pretty much immediately initiated contact with Josey.

 

Josey has been great so far with his comms.  I actually just got off a call with him to discuss finish and the neck.  You can imagine a heavy southern accent in conversation with someone from Asia 🙂 I really appreciate him taking time out for me.  Reminds me of how Lumpy gave me time of day with the customs I commissioned with him.

 

Will post pics as and when I get them from Josey.

Pretty much done... Some many subtle cues to appreciate. I had to have his JD engraved on the sole as well!  Takes me back to my more carefree younger days! You can guess which head cover I requested for.

 

The dual tone matte finish to ensure no glare at address.  Functional beauty!

Thank you sir. I liked it when I first saw the pics and as I look at it more, I'm finding so many subtle touches of workmanship to appreciate even more especially at the back.
