Titleist personalized golf ball delay

I didn't say Titleist did the wrong thing in shutting down their operation to protect their employees - you really stretched my words out of context. But like so many things in this pandemic, people have discovered new things to do and try. Since I was out of balls, I tried something different and liked it better - that's it.

Still waiting... my head pro said he is almost out of V1s and Xs and not sure when he can get more. Our members are also still waiting for the 3/4 deal as of today. I have been playing the 2020 Chrome Soft which has been an excellent ball for me - 5.9 index; 95-96 mph driver swing. Not sure I will go back to to my Pro Vs right away when they arrive.

You are correct, and I apologize. I guess I've seen so many posts on various forums complaining of hard goods delays from people who seem oblivious to everything going on lately. Golf equipment, bikes, guitars... things are hard to come by nowadays and some people don't seem to grasp the fact that the well being of people has to come before whatever bauble they ordered being delayed.

I believe mine will be delivered on Monday via FedEx, 18 1/2 weeks after they were ordered. I'm glad that the Titleist Mass. plant is up and running and the employees back on the job. If the number of additional rounds at my club in the NE is any indication of the number of rounds in the US during the pandemic they should sell a lot of balls this year.

I will put the new balls to good use when they arrive. In the interim, I discovered another go-to-ball, the Taylormade TP5x, all is good. At least with my golf interests.

Finally received mine 7/22 from my order placed 4/16. U.S. operations must be running because mine say made at ball plant #3 USA.

My fathers retirement gift turned into a Father’s Day gift which turned into his Birthday gift. I ordered in March and delivered in June. He was happy but I sure had to scramble for some alternate gifts!

Finally did receive the balls. Bad news is that the customize wording was incorrect. The vendor offered to correct it, but I just may keep them instead of sending them back and waiting for “who knows how long” for the new balls.

damn how did they word it incorrectly? I assume you input your customization online and they just copy/paste that onto the ball? in order for them to word it wrong that means someone took your notes and then re-typed it??

I've ordered golf balls through the pro shop at my club and from an online retailer. I saw our pro hand writing my personalization on a paper form he was going to scan or FAX to Titleist. And I send my details to the online vendor in an E-mail, which presumably was then transcribed.

Of course both times it was just my two initials in capital letters, black ink. So not much room for error. But I think a lot of those orders are placed by handwritten entries on paper forms.

Well for me it doesn't matter. I'd be happy with a 4-for-3 deal on non-personalized balls. But for things that matter, handwriting on paper is pretty retrograde at this point in history.

I ordered mine from an online dealer. I have the order confirmation that clearly shows what I intended. I don't know their process for ordering from Titleist, but it must involve some manual step. They admit that it is their mistake.
