From the little I saw agree the course looks great. I really love the tree lined courses and would pay to see Pat Perez go up against that bear.

With that said never been a big fan of the Stableford scoring. It obviously encourages players to be aggressive but in the real world bogies should be as punitive as birdies are rewarded. Anyway it's nice to see some young talented kids like Schwab, Theegala, and Suh doing well so far. Coming out of USC last summer Suh was just as touted as Hovland/Morikawa/Wolff coming out of college but the kid just got lost in the shuffle.

Stay in the fairway off the tee, avoid the front greenside bunkers (deeper than you can imagine!), and keep the ball below the hole on the greens.

I won't get into the covid argument but I do know a smart guy who had some money on Grace to win this weekend.

It seems a little risky to be betting on any golf at this point with the uncertainty of covid and WD's.

Yeah but throw in covid 19 into the equation and it’s totally random plus I’m sure Gracie feels healthy enough to play which is unfortunate considering his position on the leaderboard and fed ex cup standings.

Despite recent form considered him the best player in the field.

Of course gambling is "a risk" but basically picking the potential winner and then having him WD on Saturday hurts. The covid WD's just add another layer of risk.

Richy Werenski wins his first PGA Tour title.

He is projected to move to #128 in the world.

 

He is now in the PGA next week and the TPC next year.

 

Richy Werenski and Troy Merritt also qualify for the US Open.

Considering how consistent Grace has shown himself to be over the last couple of years his recent loss of form was a bit of a head scratcher. It's reasonable to think it would be a temporary hiccup and he was absolutely the best player in the field IMO. Hope he recovers quickly. What can you say? When it rains it pours.

OTOH Werenski now makes him - I believe - the 4th Big Breaker to win on the PGA Tour (Werenski, Gainey, Finau and Matt Every). I wish they'd bring that show back!

Played in this tournament out in western Mass sometime a go called the Miller High life amateur. I said to my friend hey we are 4 under lets check the scores I think will have a bit of a chance tomorrow look up and saw Rick Werenski and I think his brothers name looked at the scores and we were more than a touch down behind. Oh sorry to my buddy for dragging you out here you were right we had no chance.
