I know that releasing my pick early is strategically not the right play in our little "contest".  Waiting to see what path others take and adjusting to them might be smarter.  However after watching the Chiefs all year I just cannot pick against them.  I'm not truly a fan but I do respect their excellence and skill.  Green Bay disappointed me as I feel they lost the game more so than Tampa Bay won and I don't believe the Bucs can score enough times to keep it close.

 

As an aside, I'd like to give thanks to the beloved Commish for all his work this (and every) season.  His efforts have made me (a reformed fantasy football owner) enjoy this NFL season immensely.  Considering we have no money on the line and that this is all just for pride I still like the weekly competition.  I also must thank all the other participants for their banter, wit, and intelligence.  Y'all have made the past months more bearable considering world events.  I hope everyone remains well and safe and thats what I appreciates about each and every one of you.

Just a thought. How bout making picking the final score an actual Win. It just might work out that one of the top two actually does pick it right and breaks a tie in doing so. That way you don't have to asterisk it and say so/so actual won, would just show up in record.

Got in 18 this afternoon. It was just shy of the record high but still hit 70 degrees. I played the only course in my rotation that still has fast greens in the dead of winter. This place must have gotten to the greens with rollers fairly recently. They had to be stimping 12+

I 3 Jacked A LOT!  I had a total blast. Mid 80's score. I feel fortunate that I had such a fantastic afternoon on the course today because it's light snow tomorrow night here and some more on Saturday. I see indoor sim golf for 10 days possibly in my future. 70 degrees in January. It does happen here in the N.C. mountains occasionally, and we golfers like that.

Cross the state and about 30 degrees colder!  Never got above 43 here today so congrats on getting out and playing 18.  It might be a "cesspool of sin" but today it must of felt like heaven.

3. Be totally still if you are in proximity of a player hitting a shot. 

4. Soft clap and no hollering, this isn't a football stadium. 

5. You can't talk to any player until he has completely finished his round

6. You can't ask for an autograph until afterwards in the designated area for autographs.

7. Be very polite to all the other fans in the gallery.

8. No burping, farting, queefing, or any other bodily sounds are allowed.

9. Move when I say it is time to move, and be still when I tell you it is time for being totally still.

I was one of the few (Jerebear) around here who felt strong with going  Brady and Bucs against the Saints. Got that win. I then felt strongly in the Packers going away from the GOAT. I got roasted. I am now once more going against the GOAT in the Super Bowl. I hope I don't go 1-2 in the end due to the fact that I am a very big TB12 fan. Those who have been with this thread for years know just that. I just feel that the Chiefs possess such a quick strike offense even the great Todd Bowles and his defense will get torched two too many times. Andy Reid for the double rings.

I have been quiet for a while now, waiting for Touch's story to end.  I wasn't born in the 20's, but this is what I imagine readers of the Saturday Post felt like waiting for the next edition to be released.  I have been so busy I haven't had a ton of time to look into this epic clash.  I did however, hear a song I had heard before, and it was the Weeknd, and everyone was very excited that he was the half time show.  What is it about the weeknd that people love so much?

 

I love leather pants.  On the right person, and now that we have seen Touch and his commitment to fitness and his reverence for Vegas, I am surprised we haven't seen a throwback to him in a pair of tight red leather pants.  You know who does, or at least did rock them, the lead singer for Loverboy.  I saw them in high school, and frankly, they were abysmal.  I believe Quiet Riot opened for them, and I felt the noise.  It wasn't until I was encouraged to work for the weeknd that I knew I was in the right place.  About 15 years later, at the end of Fremont St I was lucky enough to tap into them again.  They didn't have the stage in the middle like they do now, and myself and about 45 of my closest friends actually stopped to feel the good vibrations.  I think everyone else had a $2.99 shrimp plate on their mind, but I digress.  Here was a substantially older man wearing, you guessed it, tight bright red leather pants.  I can't make this up.  They appeared to ride a little lower and the top of them not so visible, but he confirmed what I had known before, everyone is working for the weeknd.  So knowing this, it seems ironic the weeknd who works for the weeknd is actually working on the weeknd.  What do you do with the brain teaser?  I'll tell what to do.  Slip on some tight red pants, put on the head band, and ride the Chiefs to their second consecutive win and the cover.

 

I would remiss if I didn't include some PGH trivia, and reference some pop culture.  The pop culture icon Andy Warhol was a Pittsburgher and he discovered a band which was made famous in the counter culture because the lead singer would shoot himself with heroin on stage.  What isn't to love about that, besides drug addiction, weird videos, and a rock icon who never won a Grammy.  Yep, Transformers was snubbed for "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," I believe in the grand scheme of historical whiffs, this is a big one.  On this album was an amazing song called "Perfect Day," and if it doesn't give you tingles then you have no feelings.  But let's return to the weekend for a moment.  In 1967 they also produced a song called Sunday Morning, and I think you combine these magical moments and you have a sunday morning which will become a perfect day (heroin not included).  No one stops TB who has shown himself to be amazing. Pat is too.
