Mitsubishi MMT 105 Iron Shafts

I’ve read through most of this thread and had some questions maybe someone can help with. I’ve been playing 115-122g weighted shafts for about the last 6-7 yrs and just get along well within that weight range. Shafts I’ve played Nippon 1150 stiff, True Temper XP 115 stiff, Elevate Tour S & X, and most recently Fuji Pro Tour Spec 115i.  I’m getting a new set of irons and going graphite again and looking at my options. I’ve played Recoil 110F5 and they were fine felt good, just felt too light…tried SF 110s and felt dead couldn’t feel club head.

Honestly if I could replicate the feel and characteristics of the Elevate Tour in stiff (but graphite) that would be my choice but not sure there’s one out there. Also trying to keep cost to what’s offered by Mizuno and looks like it’s SF or the MMT in graphite…so the 105tx have my attention since the weight is closest to what is my wheelhouse.
Driver SS 100-105, 7 iron 165-170.

Any thoughts suggestions etc.

Could someone compare Steelfiber i95cw stiff to the MMT 105 Stiff in terms of stiffness, feel, trajectory?

SF i95cw stiff work for me, in general, but after nearly a year of playing, they still feel too light to me.  No issue with SF i95 stiffness, flight, etc.  Looking for a bit more weight and perhaps a bit more of the Mitsubishi velvet feel.

I just went through a fitting for the new Srixon irons. I currently play the SF i95S in a set of Srixon Z745's, probably the closest head to the new ZX7's. I also have a little lead tape on the heads. I like the SF's, but always missed a little of the shaft weight when switched from the DG300S. Still play DG400S in wedges. Bend profiles seem very similar. I have a smooth swing transition, driver swing speed of about 103. The MMT's just felt good. Smooth. Soft. Buttery. I liked the slightly heavier weight, and they were just consistently right on target. No spin issues at all, numbers were pretty consistent with the SF's. Just now debating whether to replace the Z745's and pull the trigger on the MMT's.

Not a shaft expert by any stretch, but we have very similar swing speed and 7-iron distance. I currently play the SF i95S. I wouldn't dismiss a SF i95 after swing a SF110. They are very different shafts. As mentioned in other posts, the SF i95S plays very similar to the DG300S in profile. I have hit the MMT 105S recently and liked them very much. I tried them in a fitting, so not a lot of time with them, but am thinking of moving that direction as I seem to still like a little heavier shaft. The SF's have been great... I've played them for 5-6 years, but was surprised by the MMT's. (I play the SF's with a little lead tape on the head to get the feel I like)

One question. Why the 105TX? Just for the weight? I tried the 105S and they were plenty stiff for me... but I have a pretty smooth transition.

Tried both Steelfiber and just don’t get along with them. The profile and weight I would assume. As far as the MMT Tx starting point is the weight as I seem to be more sensitive to that then flex. I’m more of a swinger vs smooth. I’ve played LZ 6.5 and the Elevate X with good results and thinking most of it was the weight. I still have sets of clubs with the Elevate X and Stiff…can hit both very well but the stiff are just a little easier to swing towards the end of the round and also give a slight touch more speed.

I also played Recoil 110 F4 briefly but swapped to the F5 because they felt better and not as loose and just gave more confidence. But still the wheel house is 115g for me.
