Heavily debating a Ventus Black 9TX for a Mizuno Fli-Hi. Already have a black 9TX in my hybrid but my home course requires some shorter than driver shots off the tee where I think I’d get a little more distance and roll out with the Fli-Hi than I do with the hybrid. 
 

I’d also be very intrigued with a TR version in the hybrid/driving iron shaft if they ever release one. Feel like I’d be limited a bit with versatility with the Ventus Black but I’d be using it much more off the tee than elsewhere and I’m not sure the blue would be as good off the tee for me as the black.

Has anyone hit the Hzrdus black gen 4 that comes stock in the tsr hybrids and can compare to Ventus hybrid?

 

I’m coming from the 6.5—tend to like shafts with a stiffer butt section so leaning black but worried it will be too much shaft. For reference, I’m 110-112 with driver, ~100 with hybrid, 90-92 with 6i.

CT - I haven't hit the Hzrdus 4G hybrid, but wouldn't overlook the Atmos Blue 8X. I've been playing it for a little while, and it absolutely plays like the Ventus Blue but may be a bit smoother. Certainly doesn't overspin. I have a Ventus Blue 9X hybrid and it is pretty solid but believe it was tipped before I got it on the BST so it's too stiff for me at 105-110 driver SS..

I’m very likely to put a Ventus HB 8X in my Tsr2 3hybrid. I play 6X Blue TR in driver and 7X in spoon. SS around 116, do you guys think I need to tip it 1” to get me a more similar feel to those TR monsters?

 

Unfortunately I can’t hit the shaft before ordering it…

Go to their website and email the “#Ask Chad” button and they can give you tipping recommendations to match the HB8 X to the feel of TX.

8x blue? 
 

They’ll tell you 1/2” for a 3 hybrid but I’d go a full inch. I play 10x blue tipped 1” and I’m 118 with a pretty quick transition.

8X blue yes. I’m quick in transition too so a full inch is probably the best bet!

That or 9x blue might be a good fit if you’re ok with the extra grams.

How do you install these in an iron?  I was thinking of putting one in my T100S 4 iron as an experiment.
