Anyone have any feedback on this shaft? 

 

Is it the old version profile just with new graphics and lighter weight?

I actually spoke with an Aldila rep awhile back and he told me it's the same shaft . Fwiw.

Thanks. I ordered SIM in a clearance deal and it came with the rogue silver 2nd gen shaft, so was curious. Haven’t got a chance to hit it yet

Np. It's a great shaft. I go back and forth in my Speedzone with the rogue silver first gen and the Atmos TS black.

It is different than 1st gen. I had one. The 2nd gen is less counter balanced and is much stiffer tip.

I was fit into the older rogue silver before so this should suit me. Do you play a similar profile in your 3 wood?

Funny you wrote this, Just picked up an M6 with this shaft in it Stiff Flex.  So far seem like a mid/mid and stable enough, I swing at 105 mph.  First outing with driver was great.

I had called Aldila and spoke with someone and he told me it was the same shaft. I can't find anything online. Maybe I was misinformed?

No I actually play a tensei blue in my 3 wood. I can hit it high and control it better out of the fairway. To be honest I don't hit my 3 wood often!

I have not found a better fairway shaft than the Rogue Silver 70.  Absolute bomber and SO stable.  Worked really well in a driver for me as well... Love the Rogue silver.  I do have a 1st Gen 60g stiff here that I may not be using FWIW.

I have the first generation in my driver and 3 wood, I really like both.

managed to find this online, looks like there are a few minor differences in the butt width and torque. Not much though.

Thanks for posting that. Just goes to tell you even when you call customer service to ask a technical question we get fed bs. I called them because I use to play the 2nd gen and got a real good deal on first gen from the BST. I couldn't tell much difference , but of course I did some tinkering like butt trimming 1.5 inches and going a flex up.

No problem, I have looked before as I tried the Rouge Black and the 70g shaft in my driver. Different lengths as well. So it’s always nice to be able to share some info with a fellow tinkerer.

I use a 70 Stiff in my LTDX 9°.  Very consistent, highly recommended.

I know this an old topic, but I have the old Rogue Silver 110 70g in my G400 lst and love it. I was wondering if it would work just as well in the G430 lst I have on the way? Also how does the Rogue compare to the Tour Chrome 65?

The Rogue Silver used the common Aldila mid-low profile.  Same as the Tour Green, and, I think, some other Aldila shafts.  

 

I've never messed with the Ping Tour Chrome 65, but the old Tour 65 shaft has a stiffer tip than the Rogue.  I think this shaft is more like the AD-DI in that the tip is stiff, but there is a soft spot about 18" from the end of the tip, for more launch.

Thanks for the info Ness. If I don't get along with the Chrome 2.0 in the 430 LST, I'll swap it for the Rogue Silver, which works really well for me in the G400 LST.
