Here is my first Stableford tournament round

 

I played in a men's association tournament Saturday. The format was a modified? Stableford. Points ranged from -3 for double or worse to +5 for eagle. This was also a Net tournament. I had 8 strokes and had some Net birdies and Gross birdies, but no eagles.

 

I came in a tie for 5th and also won a skin. I birdied 6, 8, and 9...no birds on the back.

shot a 70 in a 2 man scramble yesterday.

 

we started of well and had a 15 ft birdie putt to go 4 under after 6, then the wheels fell off........

Played terrible this weekend, I shot a lovely 82 with 3 OB.

Bad scores are more fun.

Oh yea I m supposed to be playing of a 5 hcp, ahaha.

Played after work last night, and only had time for 9 holes, shot a 39 4 pars, 4 bogeys, and a birdie. The birdie was a pick up, almost had a hole in one, stopped within 3 inches of spinning it back into the hole.

Played a practice round at a course I have a tourney next week.. Mananged to scamble an 82 out of it. My driver was on...but my approach shots were not so good.

nothing was working today... shot a terrible 86... birdied the first hole and it was all downhill from there..

My round wasn't today but on Wednesday. I shot 39-29 for a 68. My first time ever shooting under 30. And no the par wasn't 27...it was 35. :clapping:

in honor of keeping this thread alive..I shot an eighty five .. I officially suck and my driver has run amuck. Even trusty ole R510 could only find a fairway now and then. So come winter,come rain, so I can stop playing in pain.

I played 9 holes on Tuesday and then the same 9 holes on Weds. Tuesday I went cold onto the first tee without swinging a golf club in week and proceeded to play a less than stellar 51 for 9 holes (par 36). That night I went do the driving range and worked on my driver and my approach shots. Next day same 9 holes in really windy conditions I shot a 45. That's good for me, but still not something to go crazy about. I'll get excited when I shoot 41 for those 9.

I have played the last 18 Mondays, Tuesday and Saturdays in a row. Mixed in a few sundays and about 7 or 8 36'ers for 12-18 rounds a month. :ok:

73/+2 - 72+1/ - 75/+4 - 71/PAR - 68/-3 - 68/-3 - 70/-1 - 71/Par -

68/-3 - 69/-2.

 

Shot another 2 under 69 this morning Oct 1st.

Working hard trying to drop my 4 Hcp to a 1. :D

75 today @ Old Fort Golf Cub in Murfreesboro, TN. Played from black tee's. Probably set @ 7000 yds. today.

I shot a 77 saturday, not a terrible score but it was sloppy. Hit the ball great but i putted like a ape. Missed absolutly everything including a 2 foot birdie putt.

Shot a 77 on Saturday. Had a triple bogey on the first, my iron play was poor but the putter was working well, 28 puts for the round. Missed most greens chipped it close and holed some puts.

Shot a 78 yesterday on a par 73 with a quadruple bogey on my 17th hole of the day which was a straight forward hole only 340 yards with no trouble, except for the OB way right :fool:

It was getting late, only had time for a quick 9. I shot a 38 on par 35.

 

#1 par 5 missed 8 footer for bird-- #2 one footer for bird-- #3 snap hook 4 iron, kicked back in fw, 9 iron over dogleg, SW to short left, LW 12 foot past, two putt-- #4 driver PW to 9 feet, two putt-- #5 par 3, left fringe pin high, chip to two feet, missed 2 foot par putt-- #6 short drive 200 yards and 4 wood 210 yards to 12 feet, two putt par-- #7 driver 8 iron to 8 feet, two putt par--#8 par 3 short front edge 3 putt from 25 feet-- #9 driver 9 iron to 15 feet, two putt par.

 

I wonder if putting lessons would help, I like all 5 of my putters too. It really pains me to shoot this well (14.3 Index) and to putt this badly.

a week after fumbling my way to an 88... all I had to do was go par par and have a new PB.. so what did I do?.. go bogey,bogey and finish at 75. Only 1 birdie today.. but I rimmed out 5 others...so it was close. only 26 putts helps.

I know this may be off topic but I've traded in the golf clubs for the shotgun and I got 3 Ruffed Grouse and 2 Squirrels yesterday :drinks:

 

Thats my personal best for this fall so far.

I played yesterday and shot a 70 on a par 72 but I lipped out 3 birdie putts inside of six feet and had 10 birdie putts inside of 12 feet that missed other than the two putts I hit for birdie.

managed to hack my way to a 82...a whole lotta edge putts were not droping for me today.. but the weather got really nasty for 3-4 holes ..30-40 mph gust and about a 20 degree drop in temps..

Shot a 76 at the weekend, was +5 after 5 holes. Started out ugly with a 3 putt on the third and a 4 putt on the fourth.

I played at The Grove the other day for the first time and shot 40-37; which included 2 doubles and a couple of 3 putts. Happy with the way I struck the ball.
