Ping Color Chart - Confusion

Before I go into this, I’m sure some keyboard hero is going to make a macho comment on how “if I would’ve searched, I would’ve found the thread”. Well, I did search and didn’t find the answer I’m looking for even though I’m sure it’s in the WRX community somewhere. 
 

Question on the ping color chart. 
 

I see clubs (Ping i210, i200, etc)  advertised as Yellow Dot - 1.5 degrees upright, but on the Ping chart, all they have are Blue and Green dot. 
 

I see where Gold dot is extremely flat, but I doubt they would get confused, right?

 

Someone help me. Is yellow dot an old color now?

Thinking thats just a chart that tries to make it simpler for people to understand, doesn't have purple dot either, there is another one of these with purple and yellow from the same year

They changed the chart a few years ago. Yellow dot is no longer part of the fitting system. Too bad because the yellow seem to fit me perfectly.

PING didn't do away with Yellow and Purple as you can still request them but I believe there's an upcharge now.

Yellow and Purple are relatively new.  Ping originally used 1* increments in their lie angles, Maroon, Silver, White, Green, Blue, Black, Red, Orange, Brown, and Gold.

 

They decided to go to 0.75* lie angle increments, and added Yellow at +1.5*, and Purple at -1.5*.

 

A couple years ago or so, they went back to 1* lie angle increments, Yellow and Purple were effectively no more.  As Brother 14max says, you can apparently still request them, but they are no longer standard.

Ping changed more than just the color codes a few years ago, they changed their entire lie angle methodology.

 

In years past the color code referenced an "effective lie angle," not a definitive one like every other club manufacturer.  Under this system, for example, if you ordered a club at +1/2" length Ping automatically moved the lie angle down .75 degrees, but the color code didn't change.  Confusing.

 

To simplify now the color code references the lie angle without manipulation.  Ping also went back to the older 1 degree increments.

This chart looks correct to my understanding. My blue dot g410 are .75 upright. My older g25 iron blue dots were 1* upright. Sometime after the g25 release, they changed the color code.

Yeah but a blue dot club at +1/2 uses the same lie angle as black dot at standard length.

Mine are 1/4 over length.

Anybody smart able to tell me what the lie angle delivered on an olde set of red dot s55 would be at plus 1”, just curious, can have fitter check when I am back tomorrow

Should be 2.25° flatter than spec; ¾° flatter per half inch of added length.

I’m thinking they would be play more like 1* up if you haven’t adjusted them. A .5 increase in length effectively adds 1* of loft if I remember correctly.
