C'mon y'all squeeze for me tonight if you would.

ONE because I had to get back into the stats guy mode today and it took some effort. But I am good and I am fine with taking back over the commish position. It will be getting slower at work as the colder weather and shorter sun lit days arrive. I now will have more time, besides I have Q on a math substitute teacher retainer and am feeling comfortable because of this safety net.

TWO because if the Bills win or even cover(+3) this evening your basement dweller goes undefeated for the week.

I badly could use the 5-0 kicker.

My friend NCL, I called you out with praise earlier in the week for being the first one to grab a different lever. I loved the move. You dipped your toes first in the Pair 'em and Square 'em offered pick. So regardless of all the things that were discussed in a court of law earlier this evening things were eventually decided rightfully in your favor.

First four holes on Friday I didn’t hit a green, had 2 sandies, and was even par. My putter felt like Cayman Nebraska in my hands. As with all fleeting relationships it ended with a rebuke by Shahid Khan.

Hit some good shots, hit some absolute howlers as well. I am not getting better, but it all ended with a one over back 9 with many good up and downs.

May Touch and P48 have the Cayman feeling all day.

Andy Reid needs a defense and an offensive line.
QB’s aren’t really super heroes until the chemistry is correct.
Bills defense is stellar. Ravens are very well built and coached. Lamar had 3 years to hone his passing game to the point where he is a dual threat now.
Possibly the best all around QB by a nudge over Mahomes,Allen, Herbert.
Herbert and Allen landed in great spots. Would they be this far along playing for the Jets or Jacksonville?
They are all incredible talents. But they are not the only ingredient in the batter. The biscuits need some buttermilk.
Is Trevor Lawrence just as good put on a better team?
Joe Burrow could join them soon.
If Jalen Hurts finds some accuracy he’s right in there.
The young Guns are making the league viable for another 5-7 years. The next generations will model their games like a MaHomes or Jackson.
Not a bad template.
Just don’t go to a bad organization like the WFT.

It has come to my attention, NCL played a Pair 'Em and Square 'Em with:

And has become an enigma in the process.

This score didn't land close or far

nor was it bolstered or tarnished and marred

to the golf pro, this play was simple a par.

I give you evidence A from page 12.

I give you the Pair 'em and Square 'em Picks. Can only be used 3X's during the regular season

How these picks work. First off they will be similar to how the normal or regular picks work with the player choosing either a total or a spread for their 3 games. Of those 3 games chosen the player will decide and designate 2 of the 3 picks to be part of the Pair 'em and Square 'em. The 2 picks will be worth double "wins' double "loses" and/or nothing at all. The players wins the doubled wins by correctly selecting both teams and having the picks hit. For example if I select Washington over Chargers and Tampa Bay over Cowgirls, with both hitting I then would be granted 4 "wins" instead of the standard 2 wins. This would also be the same if the picks did not hit and I would be granted 4 "loses" instead of wins. Example: I picked the Chargers over Washington and the Cowgirls (which I would almost never do) over the Buccaneers. And lastly the third option is basically a tie where the player is awarded nothing at all. This happens when one of the player's picks hits but the other does not hit. Example: if I choose the Bears over the Lions and then Falcons over the Panthers and only the Bears pick hits and the Falcons picks does not I am then granted nothing. With each pick off setting each other nothing is gained and nothing is lost. All in all you have to hope the third pick hits if the Pair 'em and Square 'em picks ended in a draw for the player to actually gain or lose anything on the week. Mind you too the Square 'em and Pair em picks also apply to totals and not just the spread. The same rules apply naturally to the totals picks as well. When using this multiplier in the picks please list them in Bold Italics so I know to count the multiplier correctly.

Ruling: NCL finishes Week 5 at 0-1.

Don't forget about these too:

Giving the Dog a Bone: Can only be used 1 time during the Regular Season after Week 7. The giving the Dog a Bone pick will have the player pick a team with a losing record and is playing against a team with a winning record for a chance to net or lose an additional 3 points. Spread a non factor for these picks. As long as the team you pick for that week has a LOSING record AND is playing a team with a WINNING record the Lose to Win pick will be active upon the player's choosing.

The Dart Board. Can only be used one time during the regular season. This solely involves totals where the player will pick 3 totals of 3 games. They will then take the cumulative totals for the combined 3 games and bet either the cumulative Over/Under of the 3 games. If the player's Over/Under of the games bet against fall within a plus "over" or a minus "under" 10 points the player is awarded 5 "wins". If the players is plus or minus 5 points the players is awarded 8 "wins". If the players is dead on with their number a "bullseye" with the plus or minus then they are awarded 10 "wins" on the season. The risk being is if the player is outside the "outer ring" of the +/- 10 point "missing the dart board" then the player is granted 8 "loses". For Example if I take the totals in the New Orleans and Jacksonville game +/-35.5, the New England and Miami game, +/-33, the Pittsburgh and Baltimore game +/- 35 that would be a cumulative total of 103.5. Let's say, in order, the games finished 33,38,35. This would be a cumulative total of 106 I would be within in 5 points of the 103.5 total and awarded 8 "wins".

I continue to say this is P48's story to tell so don't expect to get much from me.

As I waited in the loaded up ready to go Club Car I kept watch over the parking lot for anything that might look like a rental car. I was looking down at my phone when I heard, " that's got to be you, I see the spikes."

Hello and welcome to Asheville P48, I replied.

We hit our first drives into the air at 9:30. On the 6th hole I reach into my bag for two cans that had been specially sandwiched between two cool packs. I hand P48 one of the most popular craft brews from here in AVL Land (delicious White Zombie) and we toast it up to making it happen and playing some golf together. We had a grand time playing. I know more than once P48 thought to himself man that LP is weak putter.

Truth ! It got real messy for me on the greens. 😟 it's golf.

Later in the afternoon I met up with G1 for a few beers and laughs. I told greene to set the date for a trip to Hickory, NC to play golf with me and NCL at the tail end of the first week of November. He was all in and excited.

Our 2.0 is looking fine and feeling dandy. I told him that it takes all of us to make this team/band of fools work and not to worry because myself and Q will take over the math, but he should make a good effort to be relevant because we value his contributions.

Nice to catch up with you Melon.

More golf with P48 tomorrow.

What can I say fellow resident of the Old North but I am sorry to tell you that your case was taken to the Supreme Court of the Great State of New York (Utica Branch) and your previous 3-2 decision has been overturned. It will be noted in the records and files now that in week 5 of this 2021 edition of the Picks Contest that NCL went officially 0-1.

It was a good fight SUNY Plattsburgh.

🌟Announcing the week 6 dancing dogs six point play.

We have no less than seven home underdogs this week so am announcing a One Time Play just for this week. It is called the Dancing Dogs and this is how it works. Pick two of these home dogs and pair them up. If both hit (cover or win outright) you win 6 total points for the two picks. If both lose you only lose 2 points. If one wins and one doesn't then you get 1 win and 1 loss.
