For my 3rd pick I will gladly take the three points with Buffalo in a Prime Time play. Heck they probably will win outright. When you are alone in the basement you have to make Prime Time plays in an effort to catch up so I took Buffalo. Had I not had to go with a Prime Time pick I would have taken Cincy plus 3. I believe you Packers Backers are wrong this week. But what would I know, I'm the one sitting solo down in the stinking basement. 🙃

This week has brought many days in a row with pretty consistent rain. Do not fret P48 the Donald Ross classic did not get damaged as other courses in the area did and it will be just fine for our play next Tuesday. We had downed trees and power outages. For hours the clubhouse was lit with votive candles in the dark crannies of the 100 year old castle. In the second photo we see the 18th green looking like C H might pull out a few crappies instead of pulling a 9 footer. BFCC drains extremely well. Starting tomorrow the rain will be just a memory as sunny and cool weather returns to the AVL area. It is this weather that thankfully Mr. and Mrs. P48 will be experiencing during their first visit to Asheville.

This weekend will be enjoyable  for me as the season ending Ross Cup is taking place. It is our rendition of the Ryder Cup. The head pro and one assistant field teams. Different formats will be played. It's the young buck scratch players that participate in the Ross Cup and it will mean some excellent spectating for me when I find a little free time. 

Once I finish this work week it will be time for me to welcome P48 to the western NC mountains for some golf.

But thank you for the SUNY Plattsburgh love.  My school and my baseball team are both the Cardinals so I probably should pick Arizona once in a while!  

 

Trying something different and it's not that I like Tennessee but I do believe Jacksonville is plain terrible.  Hopefully they continue their ride on the struggle bus this Sunday.

They had left Music City USA today and now would take their time passing through Tennessee. The Phoenician and his bride will arrive in the AVL tomorrow. All is good so far. The two of us meet up for our first round of golf together at Broadmoor Monday morning about 9:30.

Reems decided to close Monday for flood damage repair so our tee time was cancelled.  I called many other places and most were going to be closed for repairs. This is how we ended up at Broadmoor on Monday. The rain this week took its' toll on a few courses in the area. Broadmoor and BFCC were spared.
