Ventus Question

Kindof a random question but I noticed on a Ventus blue I ordered a year or so ago that the silver Ventus “logo” had kindof a raised bumpy texture to it. I just bought a Ventus black online the other day and noticed the shaft is all smooth. I was just curious (I’m assuming there aren’t fake Ventus’ going around), is this standard to the VB? Obviously doesn’t have any effect on the shaft just confirming it’s legit.

My Ventus red driver and 3 wood shaft both have the raised texture you speak of.

 

Is the smooth one with Velocore?

It's either fake or you're buying from a dealer that does not follow Fujikura's policies on selling shafts without some sort of prep/ install

Interesting.  Every Ventus I have seen/touched (worked a high volume Fuji dealer) all had a smooth texture to it.  Both in our demo shafts and in our customer shafts.  Can you blow off the grip and call Fuji with the serial number to verify its authenticity?  However, if it works well I'd have half a mind to just let sleeping dogs lie and not put that bug in my ear.

To clarify, it was only the silver parts of a past ventus I noticed had the texture, the black/red/blue sections have always been smooth. I'm sure it's fine, just something I noticed after I installed. Unfortunately I cut it down so there'd only be about half a sticker under the grip anyway. I've got a message out to Fuji just to see if this is something normal, I just don't have any stores around me or anything to compare in person.

 

I agree if it works might play regardless!

Interesting.  My Ventus Red also has the small raised "grid or diamonds" in the silver graphics.  Just like the pictures on their website.

Yup, nailed it. The Black I have looks like they all do, you just can't feel the grid, totally smooth. Only reason I noticed was due to the blue I had previously.

I can feel it but it's very subtle.

I have a Black 7X and the ribbon area is also raised/bumpy

I have a red Ventus velecore that you can feel the bumpy silver graphics and I have a red ventus non velecore and the silver graphics is smooth,

All ventus graphics should have that "cross hatch" subtle texture under the decal.

 

where did you buy this new ventus from online? was it raw/uncut/unbuilt? PM me a photo please

Any updates?  Any photos of the shaft as well for reference?

I just checked my Ventus Blue driver shaft and there is a raised graphic feel in the silver graphic section.  It is slight but it is there.

Been in touch with Fuji confirmed that the shaft is legit but it’s still a mystery, actually seen two like this now. Here’s a Pic, but it won’t really help because it looks exactly like the ones that have the raised feel it’s just smooth.
