Not a driver but I ordered a custom 4 hybrid Stealth from Golf Galaxy and it took 8 calendar days I think? It wasn’t long

I’m going in for a fitting tomorrow…probably will be selecting between Mizuno JPX921, Ping G425, Callaway Rogue, or Cobra LTDx

 

Looks like I could have a wait on my hands…

Yes basically a year. I ordered all new clubs and I have received the woods,putter and wedges but none of my irons have shipped.

Almost 11weeks for my Mizuno Pro 223 irons. I knew it has been awhile didn’t think it was that long until I just counted!! 
I would not wait a year like @Pottsalex1 that’s kind of crazy! They are going to come out with a new model before you get yours

You absolutely have the most patience of any human I've ever heard about. Not many things I'd wait a year for. Clubs certainly not one of them.

Anything over 2 weeks and I'm out. I have very little patience when it comes to buying anything. Last time I bought a new car I wouldn't let them take the time to wash it.😁

Went for a full fitting at Ping in late February. Great experience. Driver and FW woods came what I found incredibly quickly, in 3 weeks!
 

G710 irons….not so much. I have really unusual / highly custom, specs, but Ping is saying July at the moment. Five months! That’s no good, not for north of $200 per stick, and not when I see full custom PLD putters shipping in 3 weeks. 
 

Unabashed, lifelong Ping man here, but am looking at other options and will probably pull the plug on the order.

 

Pity. I love that Ping has an adaptive program for players like me, but I can’t wait that long for a set of irons.

What shaft?  Really seems shafts are a big problem right now.  Nothing ping can do about that.

I get it, and I’m not mad. I just want to play, so I’m looking for an alternative. 
 

TFC 80 shafts, built off the 7i at 41”……which means I can’t just go grab irons off the shelf.

Interesting thread that has remained relevant for far too long. I appreciate the challenges faced by manufacturers but have been waiting on a set of Titleist T200 irons for over a year. My mistake, apparently, was requesting a gap wedge and KBS shafts. I feel like the requested shafts must have been available at some point since February 2021. 
 

I wonder how many other potential buyers have started to look at alternative options? For the first time in my life I have picked up TM irons at the golf shop and wondered…

I've never thought about buying a Callaway iron in my life. I've owned Mizuno all the way back to MP-32. Just bought a set of Callaway TCB and they already gave a ship date of 5/2. About the best you could hope for. Wanted to look at the 223s and T100s but the wait sounded terrible.

Custom build ordered April 1.  Oban shafts and Golf Pride grips are in. The Titleist T300 heads are still 4-6 weeks out.

My Taylor Made p770s are on the way now.  Ordered 2/11, set to arrive Friday 4/22.  So about ten weeks.  Was waiting for the heads and shafts, dynamic gold 120 s300.  Original date they told me was 5/4.  Pretty excited.  I don’t get new irons very often.

Got fitted for MAX irons last April. Got the shafts and head mix I wanted, but my inquiry about midsize grips and upping SwWt to D2 from D0 came with stern warning: The planets might fall out of the heavens if I made those requests. At very least, I had them send whatever standard grips loose in the box.

 

I was promised three-weeks shipping time for being cooperative. But, clubs didn't arrive until first week of October. Grips seemed a little thin in handling, so I had shop put three wraps of tape underneath. Not sure what grip size I got, but despite tape they felt like pencils.

 

Got some Dri-Tac midsize at recent Expo, had one put on my 6i. Will test out, see if I want tungsten powder + cork down shaft to raise SwWt. Will get others regripped after I decide if tungsten is needed.

 

So, I guess I got a semi-custom fit?

you don’t want them washing your car anyway. They put them through those auto car washes that have crap all over the brushes from other dirty cars. That’s where swirls in your paint come from.

Feeling this thread. Ordered Apex pros with project x io 6.0 shafts middle of February from a 2nd swing fitting.

 

Was told mid-april during the fitting, now I'm told the shafts are on backorder until mid-may with ship date of early June. Makes me wish I hadn't traded in my previous irons (716 cb) at the appointment!

I ordered the following from Sub 70:

 

699u 5i - 7i, built with UST Recoil ES hybrid shafts and Lamkin Crossline oversized grips. 
699 8i - AW, built with UST Recoil 660 iron shafts and the same grips. 
286 milled 56.12 SW with the same 660 shaft and same grip. 
 

From the time I placed the order to the box appearing on my doorstep was six calendar days, so there are options with no back orders or supply chain issues.

No golf club is worth waiting months for, I can’t even relate to the guy waiting a year. 🙄

There are plenty of options out there. PXG, Sub70, and others will give you the same performance at a better price.

I wouldn’t buy something I don’t want because I could have it sooner.  That would be foolish.  I wouldn’t wait a year but a few months is fine.  PXG doesn’t even offer the dynamic gold $39 upgrade anymore.  Basically it’s one shaft I would never play, not to mention they are in my opinion the ugliest clubs available.

Ping i59 with Recoil - six weeks and a day from order to delivery.

 

Also ordered Glide 4.0 wedges and was told three weeks.

 

Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 was told eight weeks.
