Are there notifications of new ferrule 'drops'? 🤔

FWIW they installed perfectly easily on my .370 graphite shafts and I found the best way to turn them down is just acetone and cloth and a little patience. Fabric belt eats them up too quickly, have to be careful.

The only Instagram notifications/alerts I get when my phone is locked are for BB&F 😂

So question, do people take their clubs to a shop to break down and put the ferrules on? Or do you do yourselves?

Im finally building a new bag (had a couple kids the last few years) and picked up a couple sets of BB&F.

Just curious.. thanks!

What's in the bag:

Been building my own clubs for 30+ years, so I do them myself.
However, my current set of irons has graphite shafts, and since I don't have a shaft puller, they are in the shop getting pulled. But I'll rebuild them myself when I get them back.
Steel shafts can be pulled easily, in about 30 seconds.

I picked up a pack of the Golden Bells that dropped the other day:

Gonna be putting 'em on my Muirfields as soon as they arrive. The 1986's woulda been rad but totally missed out on those.

When do the drops typically happen?

been looking for the silver and black set

I'm relatively new to the BB&F addict crew but it seems like 10AM PT is when they usually happen. He'll announce them on IG.

Guess I’ll have to follow this like the Nike app…

They usually happen every day and some days twice a day.  Popular styles will sell out in 15 mins or less and will often be released a month or two later.

Wow! love the designs. Itching to find a set in blue for my MP68's...I don't have a belt sander, so looking to understand how to turn down the ferrules using sand paper w/o scratching up the hosel finish. Can anyone please share any tips?

If you don't need to take much off, just a lint-free rag and acetone does the trick pretty quickly and easily; you just have to make sure you keep spinning the club the whole time the rag with acetone is in contact with it. Remember you're effectively melting the plastic so always work perpendicular to the shaft.

If you need to take off more, I'll just put a layer or two of masking tape around the hosel and cut a ~1" wide strip of fine grit sandpaper (200 or so will do ya) vice the club up and gently use the shoe shine method around the whole thing - like do one side, turn 90° and do the next, etc. Then pull off the masking tape and finish with the acetone.

Then I like to buff them a touch with some Flitz polish to get a little shine back.

Just take your time and don't rush it. It's easy to do but also easy to muck up if you get too crazy.

I've always used acetone and a rage, regardless of how much material I have to remove. I've Never sanded a ferrule.

I always work parallel to the shaft, starting along the hosel. If you  rub along the hosel, it'll only take off the excess material until it gets down to the correct size.

Once it's down to final size, only then do I use a very wet rage, and spin it in the rag to clean it up. Just for 2-3 seconds.
