Yep, what Stu said. He dabbled with a few others (arm lock and a broom IIRC) but always gravitates back to the super short putter.

I used a 33" for Lord Knows how long and I am 6' 2" sorta copied him. After my accident with a bad back injury I went to 35" and my putting has been streaky. Last night I was in the building and found one of my junk pile finds hiding in an old Cally staff bag. It is an older Anser looks untouched with the factory shaft band an Ping Man grip and it is 33" I am going to try it in a bit and see if I get any consistency back. If not I may go back to my Broomhandle Ping B-90 I. Depends on how my back holds up

I have a bit chopped off my Newport 2, and I am barely 5'6", but Garrigus' putter makes mine look downright long.

 

That last comment could really be taken out of context.

LOL to the ones with their mind in the gutter yes. I am thinking I read a few years back his putter length was like 30" or something in that neighborhood

Free agents in particular playing Mizuno irons is always great, the heads are always the same as retail. So good already they don’t need to make any tour issues just for the pros.

No such thing as a free agent in golf or professional sports in general.  As Kisner says, “Golf ain’t no hobby.”

The short putter makes a lot of sense when you consider how straight arm lockers keep their arms on putts. I bet if you took Bryson's putter and cut it off to make it a traditional putter with his arms in his current position, the putter would be about 31".

For some reason 28" is the number I remember. I also remember an interview when he said Tiger took one look at it and said "You putt with that?"

Definitely is. He's a prime example. Free agent is golf is typically referring to not being under some sort of club manufacturer contract, regardless of number of clubs.

 

Just like in other professional sports, when the contract is up, you're a free agent. Quite literally the same thing.
