I’m getting one of these shortly, and I’m very excited about the “onset”, simple rectangular shape, and single bend heel shaft. The only thing making a tad nervous is the void on the bottom and how it interacts with the green during the stroke. I’m worried it may drag and/or scuff along the grass if grounded too far. 
 

I’ve heard they have a fairly pronounced tingy sound at impact, similar to the Ping 1A, and that may be good or bad, depending. Anybody else care to chime in on their experiences with one?

It has a void bottom and a sound slot so hope you like click. 

 

I have another edel and yeah if you drag that bottom can drag a bit so hover and that thing is like 330g I think so quite easy. 

 

Don't over think just roll it.

I've owned a Brick for a few years. I really enjoy the putter, but it does have a dirty little secret. The COG is deep into the heal by about 1/4." If you strike a putt in the middle of the face it sounds and feels pretty bad in my opinion. If you strike it toward the heal, basically just in front of the shaft, it feels awesome. Honestly, it's one of the best feeling putters I have. However, the design, removing all the mass from the toe, really moves the COG.

I had one for a spell. The previous poster is on to something about the heel side. Also, it makes some noise. Not bad but noticeable. 
 

Good putter I moved on because I’m a ho.

Nice to hear some real life feedback on this. Mine should arrive within a day or two. I wondered about the CoG, I mean how else could they achieve 90* toe up hang? 
 

Maybe I’ll experiment with some alignment tape, favoring the heel just a little bit. I also wonder if a putter such as this could experience “gear” affect, imparting a slight draw-spin to the ball???

Did you feel a “twisting” sensation when struck in the center, like one would normally feel on a std blade putter, when struck off the toe?

No real twisting, just just felt and sounded bad. I actually found the COG by accident. I was putting a few balls back from the cup to my practice spot and felt something entirely different. I hit putt after putt trying to find that feel again, but no matter how pure I thought I struck the ball I never got there. I miss hit one heal side and bingo! The sweet spot on my putter is exactly in the middle between the center of the face and shaft. Once I found it, the Brick became one of the best feeling putters I've played.

They should remake this putter but move the weight around normally, ala SeeMore, and get a real center CoG. Who knows, maybe I’ll love the current version. Haha

The COG can be in the center but if the shaft line intersects in the heel section, that shaft line is where the mass wants to rotate around.  This is true for all toe hang putters.  On some designs this is makes for bad feel.  Most designs, you don't really notice it.

 

If you really want to experience a bad feeling mismatch, try a putter that has the shaft line towards the toe.  There aren't any mainstream ones but there have been a few odd ones.

Small ping sound at impact, but nothing like the 1A. I love the onset shaft as it allows me to focus completely on aligning the face perpendicular to my start line(line on ball). The shaft is “out of the way” so to speak
 

The other great part is the simple brick shape because it’s very appealing at address, and this “no frills” top really keeps me from getting distracted at the ball. The toe-up design really puts a good roll on the ball for me, perfectly end-over-end. This is something I had issues achieving with std putters, but sort of worked around to the point of ignoring.

After making a few legal modifications to the sole, and since marking an alignment line on top, this Brick is now firmly in the bag as my number one putter. Function over form, for sure.

 

The pure roll it puts on the ball is undeniable, and my footage of made putts is way up this year.

I wasn’t thrilled with the open sole catching and dragging on the green, so I wanted to create a smoother transition on the bottom. I wanted to be able to sole the putter and not worry about scuffing the green. It works. I created the 3 aluminum rails and made them with camber to help give the putter a little “bounce” and glide over the green surface. I just epoxied them in the void.

I had one of these back in 2016/2017 but could never get along with it.  My distance control was all over the place coming from my odyssey.  Just sold it like a year ago for top dollar.

I will add pics later. I’m interested in trying a more normal single bend shaft in it as well. The current shaft has kind of a swan bend, I think a little more

toe weight could be a good thing.

This putter is still top dog in the stable for 2024, it rolls perfect and feels amazing. My made footage of putts was way up last year.

 

Anyone with a SBST stroke who likes minimal visual distraction should give one a go.

God, I love this putter. Something about the simple shape and perfectly centered shaft alignment, with “onset” makes setup at address so comfortable. Everything seems so neutral and aligned. The size of the head too, is a slightly larger footprint than that of a Anser shape, just frames the ball perfectly. 🤌

 

Scheffler needs to shake things up with something along these lines or a LAB design.
